We used Merkato for a corporate event - 40 people which was fairly cramped for a sit-down meal. The food was truly Ethiopian and the staff could not have been more helpful - they allowed us to bring in karaoke (and even joined in towards the end of the evening!).



A really relaxed and enjoyable evening and excellent value. Merkato is highly recommended for an informal event with a difference.

Merkato used to be on the other side of the road, but despite a move it's still a tasty African treat. Full of locals, it's always busy and the food is great.
Best of all, Merkato is cheap!
