Celebrate Mexican Independence Day at Benitos Hat at 7pm on 15th September 2010 with Grito de Independencia, a Mexican tradition, usually led by the Mexican president, that involves calling out the names of fallen Mexican heroes. The restaurant's head chef Felipe Fuentes Cruz is taking on the role of president and leading the chant as well as singing traditional Mexican songs and preparing a feast of tamales and posole stew.
