Never been to this bar before, but walked by it every day. Arranged to meet a friend there before we were to join others in the west end, put it this way we never met them! What a fantastic place to go.
Very busy place but managed to get a bar stall in the window. As soon as we walked in we were met but a fantastic waiter who took are drinks order. As soon as we had taken our coats off the drinks were ready for us. I found the service to be attentive but not over the top, as soon as we were nearly finished our waiter was over asking if we needed anything else (Hence why we never left).
Staff very friendly and had a sound knowledge of what they were selling, they weren't just pushing the expensive wine but what they truly liked, and what they thought we would like.
Really great place and would recommend this bar to anyone, looks like its one for the summer with its tables and chairs outside.
I came here for dinner with my partner last week and we had great time. It was a Thursday night so it was busy thankfully we had booked. We were greeted with a friendly smile and shown to a table. We went straight for mains I had the sweet potato stack which was very tasty, my partner had the lamb shank shepherds pie which I must admit gave me a little bit of food envy it looked delicious. I was glad we went straight for mains as I had room for the cheesecake of the day which was raspberry, again very good.
Throughout the meal the service was attentive and friendly, there was a good atmosphere although at times it was difficult to hear each other, not the best place for an intimate romantic meal, but good for food drinks and service, which all represented good value.
I will definitely be back again.
Arranged to meet a friend here the other day and was pleasantly surprised. Pass this place every day but haven't been in before, it was the perfect place to unwind after work. We were greeted by a friendly waitress who served us straight away. I went for the home made mulled wine that was simmering on the bar, the smell enticed us as soon as we walked through the door (just what I needed to warm myself up from the outside chill) Was only meeting for a drink but ended up staying for some dinner, we went for a cheese platter and a meat platter that I would strongly recommend, really reasonably priced and delicious! As a smoker it was also a relief to know this place actually has an heated outside area. We will definitely be back.
I had drinks here with friends after work one night last week. It was busy but the service was still great. We were greeted with a friendly smile at the door shown to a table and then the waitress took our order. They have a limited but quality range of beers the Greenwich meantime wheat beer is delicious. We were asked if we wanted another round, we were going to move on but decided that the service was so good and we had a seat that we would stay longer and eat. We had one of each of their sharing platters the English cheese board was excellent although I wish it had been bigger. We had a great night and will be back again very soon.
Had lunch here with a college and the experience was great. The food is excellent, the service was efficient and attentive and the wine lovely. Will definitely be back and would be happy to recommend to anyone.
