What a shame! What could be a welcome addition to the Covent Garden dining scene is spoilt by constant overselling. The food, though fine, is nothing spectacular. There are much better restaurants at this prcing level - Indian or otherwise. The room is cold and only slightly welcoming.



On a positive note, it is nice to see the chefs working the tandor in the kitchen and the food smells nice while you wait.



Overall - fine - but remember not to let them force you to over-order.

I've been dining at Moti Mahal for the last 12 years and can't disagree more with the 1* review. This restaurant is by far a bench mark for other indian restaurants in London. The quality of it's food is second to none and I've alway received a great service.

I think previous review has been placed against the wrong restaurant. Firstly Moti Mahal is not in Covent Garden, it is in South Kensington! Secondly, their kitchen is downstairs so you can't see the chefs or smell the food cooking!

Moti Mahal is a nice, contemporary Indian place. They’ve got some interesting dishes and our meal was delicious!

I’d recommend Moti Mahal if you’re after an Indian with a twist.
