Ate at this restaurant on 16 Jan 2012 and had terrible stomach cramps for 3 days afterwards which I suspect was due to the food I ate here.
One of cousine recommends me to go to muhib indian cuisne.last saturday i finally got the chance to visit the restaurant.i came with some of my freind about 8.30 in the evening.the whole restaurant was packed.when we finally get inside we get a big table.the first thing impressed me is a different kind of chatney with the papadam.they call it coconut chatney.i had never got such a tasty thing in any restaurant.when i had finished eating i have to agree with my cousine that this is the best curry house in bricklane.thanks lisa for such a recomendation.
Walking along Brick Lane after 6pm on a Friday night is an experience in itself! How i made past all the touts I will never know, once to Muhib it was just good to sit down, and within a minute have poppadoms and dips on the table so you can final relax from Brick Lane at night! Service as was the food was excellent, i went on the recommendation of the waiter, the starter and main had a good depth of flavour and didn't blow my mouth away with hot spices, and my wife was really impressed, which put her in an excellent mood which meant i gave them and star to make it 5 out 5!
This place is tasty. However, they have recently put their prices up. £25 per head (main dish, rice and some extras like samosas) excluding booze is taking a liberty.
To summarise,it's not so much better than it's rivals to justify it's prices.
I took a group of 8 friends to Muhib to dine on a wednesday evening and can assure you i will never return again!! The reason well everything from the salad to the actual curry was appaling. Most of it seemed off and smelled horrible. The staff are also very rude and careless. We had a very bad experience. Never again Muhib!
We went as a group of five to Muhib last Saturday will NOT be returning!
We were looking forward to a good evening out and took advantage of the bring your own drink policy.
We barely had time to open our menus before our order was demanded for by a waiter, when we had question about a dish on the menu all we got in response was 'I dunno'.
The starters came out literally 2 minutes after ordering them, our main dishes were practically served before we had finished them and our plates cleared before we had time to put our forks down!
We decided to have desserts and coffees and we asked for one of our bottles of wine which had been put in the restaurant fridge only to have the waiter bring our entire bag of wine back, dump it on our table along with the bill and waltz off!
When we said we hadn't asked for the bill and would like to order desserts we were told they did not serve them even though we had ordered them on a previous visit to the restaurant and to basically get lost as they had other customers!
We had gone to Brick Lane especially as had visitors from out of town and it was a completely let down, the whole meal was extremely rushed, we were in and out of there in an hour and the service was terrible.
Wouldn't recommend going here there better curry houses in Brick Lane
My friends and I went to Muhib for a group meal. We were a bit annoyed as the dishes were not all served at the same time, but when they did come they were nice enough. Muhib does have a BYO policy though which cheered us up!
