Recently went for lunch at Munchkins Restaurant after a trip with the in-laws to the British Museum.
We all found the whole experience very disappointing. The batter on the fish was heavy and greasy and overpowered the flavour of the fish completely and the chips looked and tasted as if they were frozen. Although the service was friendly our food was served to us over 15 minutes, so by the time I got my meal the others had already finished theirs. It seemed clear that the restaurant was a complete tourist trap, which was reflected by the prices, a tenner for awful food (apart from the mushy peas). There are a lot better restaurants in London that serve fish and chips for close to half the price.

Good food - nicely cooked breakfast at a good price. Ideal for families up fot the day/weekend. Friendly staff - what more could you want.

Munchkins is basically an upmarket chip shop. I enjoy the food there but I wouldn’t bank on Munchkins for a nice evening out!
