My experience in this restaurant was completely awful, awful, awful! Overheated microwaved salmon, tasted disgusting! Never again! This place should be in an airport where people have no other choice.

It took ages to get seated, as expected for south Kensington. The food looked nice from the Window, so we waited. Once seated in the cosy cafe we ordered from the limited menu, what we ordered was nice, but heated in the microwave which made pastry items soggy. Also, the bowl of sides they served appeared half empty! The food is reasonably priced, considering the area but the deserts in the window were a little expensive for the disappointing taste. The biggest disappointment was the carrot cake, with what looked like cream cheese icing, but on eating was a butter based icing, but with little icing sugar tasted of pure butter which I personally can not chew on so has to discard it. I live locally and so am disappointed that this place wont re visited any time soon as there are places near by that have carrot cake with cream cheese icing , as it should be!

Hello,

In few days i'll get to London at Eden Plaza Kensington and i looked around for a place where to have a great meal. Looking through hotel reviews i found one very nice talking about Muriel's Kitchen and looking forward i saw a lot of people who had a lovely experience here. They enjoyed their fresh orange juice, their cappuccino, their carrot cake, their real homemade salad and so on...

They also said the interior design and the staff are really welcoming.

I'll get there for sure and i'll come back with updates about Muriel's Kitchen.

See u soon,
Cristian.

I just love it! Go everyday for a glass of fresh orange juice and a real homemade salad! I work locally and could not ask for anything better! They open til late so it's also perfect for a take-away. My favorite ever!!!

I've been to Muriel's Kitchen with my family on Sunday and it was a lovely experience! The interior design and the staff are really welcoming - so I don't really get what the other viewers are on about...
We had a day at the museum with the kids and were trying to find a nice place to eat within our budget. My wife is really into organic and free-range stuff so Muriel's was just what we were looking for!
The food was pretty good and really tasted like homemade. And my kids just loved the Halloween cupcakes, which were made with organic flour and no conservants. We don't live locally but cannot wait to come back! Well done guys!

I urge readers to avoid this cafe. I went there yesterday to meet a friend, with my 3 week old daughter in a buggy. No-one helped me open the door. I asked where best to sit with my buggy. The waiter shrugged his shoulders and said I should keep clear of the toilet and was not permitted to take a table for 4. There were 4 tables for 2 free, 2 tables for 4 free and all the stools were free. There was no queue and it was an off peak Tuesday afternoon. I then said that I was meeting a friend and she would also have a buggy. He then said "this is an intimate cafe. We do not have room for buggies. You should leave."
Very unwise strategy for Muriels: I meet other mothers for lunch or coffee and cake every day and am a loyal customer. Needless to say will never attempt to frequent this dreadful place again.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Pretty decoration, and the food is delicious. Just what South Ken needed. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I love the fresh vegetable juices, selection of well presented hot dishes and cakes. Perfect to catch a quick bite at any time of day.

Great place to pick up a healthy and reasonable sandwich for lunch if you work in the area. Refreshing to have something freshly made from a nice new one-off venture rather than all of the typical take-away chains that fill the area. Lovely place to sit-in and people watch too if you have the time, lovely interiors and cosy surroundings!

Perfect place for a quick healthy meal that wont break the bank. Service was so friendly and fast that I was taken by surprise when my food arrived in under 5 mins. I imagine it can get quite busy at lunch so I would arrive early.

And the fact that the menu isn't huge means you know that it's all made at the restaurant and not shipped in frozen.

Finally some proper home cooking during my lunch break and check out those cakes in the window, I would happily eat all of them (in one sitting) especially the carrot cake which I tried mmmmmmmmmm yummy beyond words.

Not fancying the usual overpriced pret or Starbucks i wondered around south kensington and stumbled upon Muriel's Kitchen, where among beautiful farmhouse surrounds i indulged in people-watching from their expansive windows on one of London's busiest thoroughfares. I asked the waiter to bring me whatever he thought looked best and i was served a bowl of piping hot lasagna with a small green salad and was mighty chuffed. Muriel's is for you if you fancy a delicious meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) in a prime location. The staff are cheery and polite and the bakery counter has got to be seen to be believed. They also do milkshakes! I have found my home from home.

Me and my friends went on Saturday and were disapointed. Service is slow, food is really average, not a lot of choice and dishes seems to sold out too quiclky. Coffee was not so good and my soup was not hot enough.
Room decoration is nice but it's not for good food lovers. Will certainly not return.
