The chicken may be tasty but their morals are lacking- it took alot of questioning on my visit to Nandos before they would admit that none of its chicken is free range. No matter how much they dress it up as "farm assured" or "barn reared" it all adds up to the same thing- an animal that has never seen the light of day, never behaved naturally and spent its entire 30 day life living in cramped, soiled conditions, for the sake of bigger profits. Anyone who has ever seen the inhumane conditions that these animals live and die in, as I have, would join me in boycotting Nandos until they join the 21st century and treat these animals with the respect they deserve. Surely nothing is so tasty that your conscience can stomach the cruelty this company encourages?

if you'd like the idea of dining in a 'classy' version motorway service station without the need for a car...then this is it.

Poor value, unexciting, bad service (well, you actually serve yourself for most of the meal!), greasy uninspiring chips/fries (like badly friend ovenchips!), bland chicken (which, incidentally seems to be the battery intensively farmed kind as all they say about their meat is that it's "never frozen, and Grade A"...so very unlikely that it's free-range, organic local or well looked after!

Avoid.

Nando's Ckickenland is an informal and pleasant place with good and simple chicken cuisine, good quality and reasonably priced. You can eat a meal for two people for just £16, inclusive of a beverage. You must choose your table taking your "chicken place card", order your main course and drinks, pay and take your dishes and flatware to the table: they bring the food to you after a few minutes. The staff at Nandos Chickenland are very helpful and neighbourly. A word of warning about the peri-peri spicy sauce: order medium if you don't like your mouth to feel as though it's on fire!

I'm so totally into Nando's Chickenland. It is the total best. Fit waiters man and tasty chicken.
Just avoid the chillies - my tongue was burning for days after my last visit to Nando's Chickenland.

Yum, spicy chicken fast food stylee a la Portuguese!! You cannot top this for fast food. Good, hearty chicken dishes served with chips or rice or salad as you wish and whichever of the mad array of spicy sauces they have on offer.

Self service to these things makes the experience pretty fun, but this restaurant is ridiculously busy so be prepared to sit next to strangers...and I wouldn't recommend it if you're trying to impress. Fun with friends....definitely: its impossible to eat that food gracefully...for a date: think again! Funky decor with random stories about chicken and Portuguese proverbs. Thumbs up for sure!
