there's something about this place, been to many restaurants but they don't have the same homley feeling & foods as Nazmin's , Food is amazing, likes of nilgri, komlapori , haryali lists is endless, great food, great place! Gets busy, booking adviceable !
This used to be one of my favourite restaurants, but not after what happened to us on our last visit!
We went to pay for the meal, and the card machine "broke". We were then asked to add details again and we stated we would not do so without a "Void" receipt. They then made us feel like thieves and pressured us into entering our details again upon the promise that they would contact us if the bill had gone through twice. they did call but only to say the bill had not gone through twice. But big surprise it had, and we have now paid double for the meal and have to face all the hassle of having to get the monies they owe us back. Honestly do feel lied to, disgusted and let down by what was one of my favourite restaurants in the area, and I will not be going back any time soon (oh except to beg for my cash back!!).
The food is good and the service. However when we went to pay the machine "broke" and we were asked to enter our details again. We asked for a "void" receipt in order to prove first payment had not gone through and were told that we could not have one. Entered details again and now two days later, and after them having phoned to say the payments did not go through twice, big surpise they have done. So whilst good food and service - sure it is certainly not worth double the cost of the meal and the hassle we will now have to get the monies owed back. At this point I feel genuinely cheated and lied to and am disgusted that what was once a favourite restaurant of ours would treat us in this manner!
i just love this place, very busy which means fresh food and quality service, no wonder they have been awarded" best restaurant in south London 2011"
I've just waited 2 hours for a delivery that didn't arrive Five of my friends are going home hungry. What's mad is that i used this Bulti house for over ten years.
Are they paying people to write reviews for them? 1 review added on here at least once every month for Nazmi’s!! Hmmm… very fishy!!
“Absolutely awesome, best in South London, been to northcote road, southfields, Wimbledon, Tooting, Putney No 1 comes close to Nazmin's"

The food here is amazing and clear to see where all the awards come from.
All the boxes are ticked from start to finish, and the only reason its not a 5 star is the constant passing from one member of staff to another, i problem i find in most Indian restaurants. Would much prefer one waiter from start to finish, but alas a small problem in an otherwise fantastic venue.
we Made a reservation for Valentine’s Day and we had a great night at Nazmin's. Wow and innovative special menu. Friendly and enthusiastic service -dimmed special blue lighting made it really romantic, tom jones mellow love songs and the above all amazing foods. We were made to feel welcome and special from the moment we arrived. Thanks guyz-1 to remember,

will alwayz be the landmark of Earlsfield since 1966, please dont compare with these small local curry houses, a trusted reliable place.
j.taylor regular since 1985 and counting....
I live in east london, love to go and have my dinner at Nazmins every day, been there twice and it was fantastic, the food, service, the atmosphere and even big boss was just too good. Would recommend every visitors to try the dish "captin Patila", its 1 of the tastiest mouth watering chicken dish that I have ever had. Keep up the hard work guy!
Nazmins restaurant has great service where the waiters are very helpful. Must also say that there portions are good for the price if you compare with tooting. For the same money as Tooting you get better service and food. Well done to the nazmins team.
nazmin's is a top restaurant, gem of earlsfield, cant believe how they maintain so much customer service with such a high volume of sales.
highly recommended.

I didn't rate Nazmins when I went a couple of years ago, but thought I'd give it another go.
We ordered three different curries and there was no spice in any of them. The balti was just tomato with very little sauce, and the rogan was practically the same.
Just go to Tooting. Any curry house in Tooting is better than Nazmins.
the best curry i have ever had in my entire life.
OMG i just died and went to food heaven, if you love lamb and love curry, there is only one dish to have. The lamb shank bhuna at Nazmins in Earlsfield.
To every1 who recommended this restaurant- i just wanna say a big thank you, Where were you Nazmin's all my life?
I now live in watford but return to eat here ,just cant get enough, try there new menu,

Managers running around kitchen and greeting customers says it all. Always a satisfied customer.
Gr8 food, if u havnt tried,u dont know what your missing, you wont be dissapointed!
Thank you nazmin's! I just recently celebrated my 18th, wow what can I say, it was and always will be treaserd for A life timee, they decorated there back room With ballons ,we were Allowed our own music & "we made noise"! Food was amazing my guests absolutly loved it, try there new fish and lamb chops, they rock! Cant Wait for nx Visit.
Hi all I would like to start by thanking my friend who recommended this restaurant when I moved into the area a couple of years back and since than, this has become my number one curry house in London. Even when my family are round to see me what better place to spend the night that at Nazmins. If you want a dish that is different which I am sure one will not find else where is the Captain Patilla and Macon Badame dish which are out of this world.
I have been dining here since i was 10 when my dad introduced me to what was called nazmin curry inn, i am now in my forties and still dine here with my large family , the restaurant just gets better and better, its a gem of wandsworth, highly recommended

It was one of my biggest mistake in my life to celebrate my 21st birthday at Nazmin. Went there wiv my friends and family. Was quite a big group of us. Had booked in advance but unfortunately nothing was I expected. Maybe worst than one can ever imagine, as follows:1: tables were dirty & unprepared2: big stained on table cloths.3:my guests had to spend almost 15minutes waiting to be seated. 4:starters were late & uncooked. 5:when main course were served, we received some of the dishes which we didnt even order. Then we were told it was someone else's food. 6: at last when the food arrived,it was completely bland. - no taste to it With runny sauces. It was A real shame for me and my family in Front of my guests. The whole evening was to A waste- even the Management looked so poor and Untrained. There has been no Hospitality N courtesy- no appology for Anything! I would never Recommend Anyone to go there.
What A shocker. For a venue that claims to have received such praise as nazmins, it was a surprise to be subjected to the rudeness that we were on the evening of 1 Dec 2009. The attitude of the staff towards my guests was nothing short of an utter disgrace. "for the restaurant staff to argue with a customer - loudly and in a condescending manner - is unheard of, if you want to preserve your reputation."
When one of my guests complained that the food was burnt, this started the entire ball rolling, then when the second plate arrived and it was no different. Still burnt, the management entered the fray with the same attitude. It was utterly atrocious and downright rude, unbelievable. Instead of trying to defuse a potentially damaging situation they added to it. In the recessionary times that the world is going through, one would think that the customer was important to the business. Not so in this case. A simple offer of a different meal may just have sufficed. Alas not. Then to add insult to injury, they added that meal to the bill. A mistake one would think, oh no, the management insisted that because they had cooked the meal twice they were entitled to charge for it, even though it was not eaten, it was sent back.
So back to the argument, which again went down the path of rudeness, unpleasantness and arguing. What gall. Eventually sanity prevailed and it was removed. By this time the tension in the restaurant was unbearable, there was no atmosphere and as we left the entire crew were muttering under their breath. To cap it all, not even an apology. Not a very pleasant experience. I won't be returning to this establishment and shall be spreading the word of this ugly manner in which we were treated.
Stay away if you want to enjoy your meal, there are plenty of other places to frequent who will treat you with the dignity and courtesy that you as a paying customer deserve. A very concerned and disgusted customer. Peter Bode.
Very good food & plenty of staff who were plenty willing. Just a couple of things I felt let this place down
1) £3.95 for a bottle of water is expensive, and it was only spring water, not mineral water. The member of staff I aked about this didn't know the difference but the owner will (spring water is cheapo, mineral is more expensive) If you visit be sure to ask for tap water!
2) they add a small charge of 65p per person for chutneys that are delivered with popadoms. this is not listed next to the popadoms on the menu but as small print on the back.
Although they said this is standard for an Indian restaurant, I think it's a bit sly and a touch insulting to the customer somehow.
Other than these grumbles, the place is very good, clean and a notch above those in neighbouring Tooting in my experience.
I completely love Nazmins Balti House and everyone I've taken there has felt the same. The food is absolutely delicious and the ambience and decor helps ensure a great curry experience. Don't miss out on the starters - there are some delicious ones. It gets pretty busy so be sure to book at Nazmins Balti House especially at the weekend.
Is Nazmin's Balti House Curry Heaven? Absobloodylutely!!
Probably the finest Curry I've had outside of Rusholme (Good old northern haven).
It's the range of dishes which really make Nazmin's stand out in the crowd - and if what you want can't be found on the menu then just ask one of the charming waiters and chances are they will prepare it for you.
This really is a 5 Star!
