The worst Chinese in China Town. If you want aromatic crispy duck it will turn up warm but unfortunately the pancakes won't arrive as they are sat on another table. Don't worry though, as soon as the staff notice (10 minutes at least!) they will send them promptly from another groups table to yours. So when you say the starter is cold it is said that you just won't have one and you are expected to move straight into main course. Main course: Ordered sizzling lamb, roast pork and shredded chilli beef. The pork arrives freezing cold and the chilli beef is luke-warm. Nothing is sizzling and we realise our lamb dish is actually beef with oyster sauce. We then ask where our dish is and of course they then realise the mistake and it is coming. When it arrives it is warm but again nothing is sizzling. In the meantime we asked for the pork to be warm as it was freezing, the man took the plate but then came back with the same plate, which had obviously been microwaved but was still too cold to eat. How? The best part was the bill. We had ordered a starter and a three course meal and only managed to eat 2 main meals due to the very poor standard of everything. We were then expected to pay a service charge. Ridiculous! We had no apology, it was as if we were being awkward. I am not willing to pay stupid money for a chinese xspeak soon xxdo not go to New Aroma unless

It is a pity that the reviewer who slagged New Aroma does not appreciate good chinese food. He would be well advised to stick to buffets or the grab all you can for a fiver type of outlet. Perhaps his visit to New Aroma was his first visit to a real chinese restaurant. I visit China at least once a year and when I am in the uK I eat chinese food a s much as I do Euroean food so I feel well qualified to comment. Their food is always good, their service is always friendly. But then perhaps I behave in a way that leads to good service. Not every customer knows how to.
