I just don’t get it! I really don’t understand why people go on about how good the roast duck is here. I have had roast duck everywhere and I just don’t get it!
I popped in for a quick lunch and had to wait for about 5 mins before anyone even took any notice of me and it wasn’t even busy.
I quickly ordered a plate of duck rice, a portion of gai lan veg and a pot of tea – nice and simple, right?
What I got was a portion of burnt, fatty roast duck (with feather follicles still attached to parts of the skin – yuk!) and the sauce that came with it was so sweet I thought they had poured sugar syrup on instead. I have to find the bits of rice that hadn’t soaked the sauce in before I could eat it. The meat itself was just about OK but had tough bits.
The veg was overcooked and limp, sitting in a small swamp of green-ish water. And service with a frown >:-(
At least they didn’t screw up the tea!!
A huge disappointment.

Duck is its speciality, and it was good. I always like a restaurant that gives you free green tea and oranges, the food was very nice.

New Four Seasons has quite an extensive menu. I quite like Chinese food although I wasn't that keen on some of the starters. The New Four Seasons was also a bit posh for me and I didn't feel comfortable as I wasn't dressed up. Maybe I will be a bit more adventurous next time.
