Benefiting from its proximity to Victoria and the offices further up Vauxhall Bridge Road, Noodle Noodle is a quick and easy lunchtime option.

The Venue
The decor at Noodle Noodle is as simple as its name. The unassuming small blue frontage offers the only glimpse of flourish courtesy of its rather flowery logo on the main sign. Inside are a few tables and chairs (also in blue) offering not so pleasant views of busy Vauxhall Bridge Road through the large windowed frontage. It won’t win any awards for its decor, that’s for sure.

The Atmosphere
Most popular during the lunchtime rush, Noodle Noodle has a get ‘em in, get ‘em out feel that’s not so much perpetuated by the staff rather than being an unspoken rule. Maybe it’s the unassuming decor but this isn’t the kind of place you’ll languish in for hours.

The Food
Noodles, rice dishes, Thai meals and soups are what’s on offer at Noodle Noodle – simple grub that’s easy to eat quickly. The menu is well priced and you can eat a filling lunch here for between £5-£10. Recommended is the seafood soup noodle, offering delicate noodles in a light broth with plump prawns, a couple of scallops, well textured squid and mussels with seasonal greens and spring onions adding some bulk. Alternatively, if you are after something more substantial then the chicken and mixed vegetable fried noodles is a generous dish with chunks of tender chicken and chunky vegetables that may not set your culinary world alight but beats an M&S sandwich for lunch.

The Drink
Soft drinks are the order of the day at Noodle Noodle but they do offer Sun Lik beer, sake and a handful of red and white wines. They even have a bottle of Bollinger Special Cuvee NV, which seems a rather odd addition to the menu.

The Last Word
A thankful addition to Vauxhall Bridge Road for office workers looking for something other than soup and sandwiches for lunch.
