The restaurant looks great but the food and the service were rubbish. We had to wait the food more than an hour and the meat was still raw. We asked the manager to get another dish with proper cooked then got another dish which was overcooked. The food is overpriced. I would not recommend anyone to go this lebanese restaurant. We could hear that some of staff arguing and shouting each other
We arrived to a completely empty restaurant, our reservation was not recorded anywhere. The food was considerably poor, portions were very varied. Don't bother ordering the seafood skewers, the dearest price for a main meal with an anorexic portion of fish-very poor value for money. Staff were busy Talking, very disappointing and won't be reecommending this to anyone again. The only upside was the company I was with!
Having had wonderful Lebanese food in London every time we have visited at several other restaurants we thought we would give Noura a try (08/02/10) how disappointed we were. Miserable staff and extremely small servings. Food was overpriced and the set lunch was totally uninspiring! Meat main course had resonable flavour but consisted of a very small lamb sausage and 4 small pieces of chicken, having asked for a vegetarian main option for other half we were amazed when she was given no options and what turned up was plain rice and overcooked green beans in a totally bland tomato sauce!DO NOT BOTHER...
I went to this restaurant with colleagues from work. While the food is only above average, I found the portions to be quite tiny and overpriced.
The staff were not the most friendly. The starters are really tiny and I wouldn't recommend going to this place as a group.
We ended up being charged a fortune for service as well. I would say avoid unless you plan on spending big!
It is not my first visit to a Lebanese Restaurant, but it is the first time to Noura Central. It has a great Location by Jermyn Street .
The food was amazing, tasty and totaly fresh. The waiting staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful.
The Noura Menu (£36) is a good value of money, it has a good selection of starters and Grills.... ask for the rose water ice cream and the fresh mint tea.Yummy.
I will definetly go back and soon.
The food at Noura is above average for a London Lebanese restaurant, but the service at Noura Central could be much improved.
Our waiter was difficult from the outset, not giving honest answers about waiting times for a table, added on extra glasses of wine to our bill at the end - which of course we didn't pay for - and tried to flirt with female members of the party in an inappropriate manner. When it came to paying the bill, he 'reminded' us that the tip was not included. So I left him a tip, a written note telling him to improve his service and that I would not be recommending this restaurant to anybody.
Noura Central is a lovely Lebanese restaurant serving some excellent meze. Noura Central is well worth a visit!
There are two branches of Noura in London - Noura Central and a brasserie branch somewhere else (sorry, can't remember where).
I've only been to Noura Central but can tell you the meze is superb.
