Had wanted to go for a long time now and was really disappointed. I eat a lot of dim sum and the quality of the food here is really below expectations. The selection is small and the portion sizes are very small. The sauce pots are the wrong size and you have to force the dim-sum if you want to add flavour to it. The steamed packets come out wet because they have been in to long. it's all wrong about dim sum, like a version of McDonald's for Dim Sum, but worse. I would have got more for my money quantity and quality wise at a home run Dim Sum place.

The service was awful, and the employees do not seem like they want to serve you or that they are happy to be there. Should of left at that point.

I will never go or spend a single penny in here again. So upset, it's the first time I've been motivated to review a place. To warn others, to stay away!

Rated: SAD, or instead of NOW, say NEVER.
£7 for the 'deal' I got 4 tired looking peices of dim sum, a cold char siu bun, and the saddest noodle soup I have ever tasted. Absolutely flavourless, and not sure if it was just frozen and re-steamed for my 'enjoyment'? For that price if I'd gone for dim sum with friends in Soho at a properly authientic place I could have gorged myself and not paid much more.
Conclusion: AVOID

I think the place is great! The food is not Yahuatcha but neither are the prices. The Charsui Bun is very yummy and definitely fresher than the one you get in Chinatown out of these hot cupboards...so not sure what Tommy12345 is on about!
For me it is a change from sandwiches and "buffet noodles" from Wasabi. I have not tried everything yet, so they may have some "hit & miss" on the menu but I had the meat basket, pork bun and vietnamese spring rolls and it was all delicious...they even gave me a free Ice Tea because I waited for the basket 2 minutes!
Oh and I did notice quiet a few Asian customers, which must be a good sign, no?
Anyway: "NOW you get my vote, I will come again".

1 star for the concept of takeaway Dim Sum since it is a great idea, and something I look forward to someone doing properly in London at some point.

However, I will never give 'Now' a single penny again. It is the worst Dim Sum i've ever eaten, chewy, tasteless and a general feel that it's been sitting around for a week and then microwaved. The char-siu bun was equally dreadful, cardboard was the overwhelming taste and texture. The glutenous rice was about the only redeeming feature, but even this wasn't great and the portion size was a total disgrace for £1.69.

All in all, overpriced and terrible food. My feelings are stronger than that, these dreadful Ping-Pong run places are actually putting people off Dim Sum who have never had the real thing before. I have many a time suggested a Dim Sum lunch to friends, only to be confronted with - but it's horrible, I went to Ping Pong a while ago. I hope this company goes bankrupt asap.

I popped into this place on my way to Liverpool St Station tube for a quick bite before going to the West End and I was really impressed. The food was really nice, super quick and very reasonable. I was on my own so it was great to have a quick bite to eat without feeling like a single diner as the place was bustling with people.

I didn't have the soup, but the dim sum was lovely and made to order - my only criticism would be that the place isn't big enough! It's definitely worth a visit and I'll be going back.

The Chicken Won Ton Soup I just bought was VERY VERY bitter, and tasted more like half Miso Soup, half salt! I could only manage a few spoon fulls before having to admit defeat.

Passed it round some colleagues in the office just to check it was just me - it wasn't!!). Now I'm £4.19 out of pocket and starving!

On a good note, at least the liquid made me forget how bland and tasteless the "chicken" won tons were.

That is because it is made with bitter melon, a chinese vegetable that looks a bit like a long radish. I thought it was a bit bitter too and asked a girl at the till but she told me the broth will be changed next week because the traditional chinese taste isn't for everyone. There than that i am a huge an of the place, the dim sum are amazing!

Sorry, but this place sucks. In concept the idea of takeaway dim sum appealed to me. I love dim sum, but it's biggest detraction is how long it can take. This place solves that issue. Now there are two Ping Pong restaurants in the area that also sell dim sum, but a) Ping Pong is generally overpriced, b) takes too long and c) Ping Pong is for amateurs who think they know good dim sum i.e., the quality leaves a lot to be desired.

Unfortunately, the quality of the dim sum here is sub par. Let's see, you pay 4 pounds for 6 pieces in the "classic" selection (whatever the hell "classic" means, classically awful?). The dim sum does not taste particularly fresh. I don't care if it IS actually made on site, this garbage tastes like it came out of the microwave. Whoever designed the box deserves the epic fail award. Don't think about putting soy sauce on the dim sum because the box has holes on the bottom that you may not notice at first blush. I stained my Yves Saint Laurent pants because the dope who designed this box didn't have the foresight to think that people might without thinking, put soy sauce on the dim sum in the very box in came in!

I also ordered two pork buns for 99p each. Now these puppies were not fresh. The dough was cool to the touch. At best it was lukewarm. Not to mention, the pork bun was about a third smaller than a pork bun that you get in a real dim sum place (as you do in China Town).

Also ordered a Won Ton soup. Now I was impressed by the size of the soup. Unfortunately, the taste did not correspond with the size. It was very watery. Now before some genius says "It's soup, it's supposed to be watery", hear me out. The won ton soup was almost completely lacking in flavour, worst won ton soup I've ever had.

Frankly, the dim sum that Tesco sells under it's Tesco's Finest label is better. For real dim sum, go to China Town. If you want a satisfying lunch go elsewhere.

Sincerely,

First time and last time customer
