General Price Guide: Moderate - Expensive.

Location and Punters:
This highly acclaimed, modern fish restaurant is located within the Sheraton Hotel, in Knightsbridge. Lunchtime sees the place buzzing with local business people, while dinner, at One-O-One, tends to be a more elegant affair. The nearest tube station is Knightsbridge.

Atmosphere and Décor:
The light airy, glass-surrounded dining room is stylishly decorated in shades of beige, aquamarine and oyster with comfortable, well-upholstered chairs and beautifully laid tables. The unfussy prints and eye-catching central floral piece, all contribute to the very pleasant ambience of the dining room. Service is highly professional.

Nosh and Drinks:
One-O-One is reputedly London’s finest fish restaurant and talented Head Chef, Pascal Proyart, specialises in the fish recipes from his native Brittany. The menu, however, is much wider ranging, including dishes and ingredients from as far afield as North Africa and the Orient.

Starters range from the traditional Rossmore Oysters or Smoked Salmon, to the more adventurous Escabèche of Sardines with Olive Oil Mash, Tapénade and Aïoli, Crab Tortellini in Consommé with Mint and Carpaccio of Red Tuna and Pan-fried Foie Gras, Forestière Salad Balsalmico and Hazelnut Butter Vinaigrette.

Main courses might include Roast Sea Bass with Truffle and Herb Mash, Brussel Sprout Chiffonade and Girolle Jus, or Roast Monkfish Tournedos and Foie Gras, Belgian Endive Confit, Fondant Potato and Cooking Juice.

Desserts are imaginative - tempting options include Apple and Goats’ Cheese Honey-Crusted Parcel with Ginger Ice Cream, Macaronade of Nougat Glacé with Tropical Fruit and Crème Brûlée Ravioli, Roasted Granny Smith Apple in a Light Orange Emulsion. A set two-course lunch costs £21, (three courses, £25). The quality wine list concentrates on whites. There are several decent wines by the glass.

The Experience:
The dining environment of One-O-One is equally appropriate for a rushed business lunch or a more leisurely intimate dinner.
