I go out in town a lot and, like most, I always check out reviews. There are some unfavourable ones for here (though invariably when they get vitriolic I think it casts more doubt on the individual), but some of high praise too, so I was interested to see how it would be for my partner and I. In a word - amazing. The venue itself is needless to say quite breathtaking, surely the best vista of London to be found. We were lucky enough to catch a beautiful sunset and thunderstorm, then see the city light up into the night - like two visits in one. The food was exceptional, and though not cheap, great value for what it was. For example, the starter of fish soup was quite an adventurous choice for my partner, but she wasn't disappointed and, on trying, I was left wishing I'd ordered two starters. Loved my trio of pork too! (we also went to Taste of London yesterday, and their chef's Lamb dish was a winner for sure -sensational). But what really makes somewhere is the staff. From our first welcome in the impressive reception, to our greeting at the top, our charming waiter and our escort up to the Viewing Gallery. You could tell they all took pride in their job and engaging with their guests. Excellent job all round Paramount - you gave us a great night to remember, and we'll certainly be back; we need to check out more of those cocktails.
This place is just beautiful. I highly recommend it. The view from the 32 floor is amazing, waiters are very attentive and the food is good. I recommend the fish pie from the bar section. Loved it.
I will be definitely going back again.
This is one of the most prestigious restaurants in London. It has everything, beautiful food, attentive waiters, and breathtaking scenery. I went here last year for my one year anniversary, and my partner took me again for my birthday last weekend. Yes its high priced, but so worth it. I recommend the scallops as a starter, which were a delight and the roasted apples with maple sauce and pecans as dessert, so tasty and gorgeous on the plate. This really is the perfect place to mark any special occasion. There is also a viewing gallery which you can go to before or after your meal which has a stunning view of the city. I cant speak more highly of this place - it truly is a great credit to London.
My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary - we had an amazing night here. The food is very pricey (we only had a starter and a main) but the reason for this high price tag is the incredible view. We went on Bonfire night and we could see all the different fireworks going off all over London below us, it was beautiful. The food itself was very good and I would recommend the steak and the Pork done in 3 ways, absolutely delicious.
Paramount is a classy venue and I found the staff very helpful and unassuming. It is definitely a good place to visit to mark a special occasion. I would also recommend going to the Viewing Gallery upstairs for post-dinner drinks. A great way to end the night and take the view in one last time.
The view from the Paramount is really incredible. Service was good and the food was delicious. We skipped starters which made it good value, my partner really enjoyed her steak and I had a vegetarian artichoke risotto, which was delicious. Only problem, my portion was a bit small, solved because the steak came with a huge amount of vegetables. Enjoyed the Lebanese wine too.
I went there with a date, that was really catastrophic. Hopefully it's not too expensive but:
- the waiters were not kind at all: minimum of words possible, no "enjoy your dinner", nothing
- the quality of food was really really really poor. That's almost a scandal. We had as starter pumpkins soup and linguine pasta: no taste at all. And the most surprising was the main course: risotto al truffle: no taste at all. That's the first time I eat truffles without taste.
- we let half of our main plate, and were waiting the question of the waiters but they just took that without any comment, as it was normal.
The view is fantastic but I still not recommend this place at all.
After hearing about Paramount I decided to scale the heights and pay them a visit. Having no shortage of cheesy puns I opted for the high life. The lift opened onto the 32nd floor and I walked into a view that was spellbinding. The panoramic spectacle overlooking London from this place is beautiful and mirrored by the stylish design of the interior from the lighting to the furniture. I'd read some mixed reviews about the service here so I was slightly wary. It turned out to be entirely misplaced after I was warmly greeted and promptly seated. The service was exceptional. The wait staff and bar staff were very warm and friendly and made me feel very relaxed. I was joined by a small group of friends who all had a great time and all remarked on the courtesy and amiability of the staff. I have been to places before where the servers have been stuck up and constantly look at you as if you just spat on their shoe. This definitely wasn't one of those places and in fact despite my plying the waiter with enough questions to potentially border on harassment I was answered with genial good humour and knowledge regarding all the dishes on their menu. I've been back to Paramount several times since then with different friends and we have always had a great time and been treated with sincere and enthusiastic professionalism on every occasion. I highly recommend a visit.
Booked in as part of the London Food Festival lunch special for a group of 6. Turned up and decided we would enjoy the views on a few drinks first. Waiters were quite pushy to order drinks and when we ordered less than the number of people we had, was met with sarcastic remarks. Onto the lunch, they gave us the brunch menu (it was 2pm) and was told that the lff special was not available on the weekends although it was booked with them and confirmed with my cc and the place was pretty much empty. They kept pushing us to see the brunch menu which I was not impressed with and again met with sniggering waiters and acrimonious comments. After making a complaint about this, was finally given the lff menu to order and throughout the ordeal waiters have been the rudest ones I've ever met with simple things like the butter tray thrown briskly onto the table. View's are great, but not worth the rudest service Ive ever experienced on offer at this pretentious dig.
