The food at Pars is of a high standard and the service is friendly. The fact that they don't have a licence to sell alcohol is a real bonus: I love restaurants like this. It means you don't get ripped-off for the drinks, you just bring your own wine!
The food could be described as being between Indian and Turkish but is actually different to anything. The starters were fantastic, particularly the aubergine dip. The main courses were wonderful - we all had the non- grilled dishes and the saffron taste in the rice really set it off.
The Persian ice-cream for dessert was like Indian Kulfi. I got a generous helping and had to fend off my wife's spoon! A great eating experience. Unpretentious good food in a slightly quirky setting.
