Avoid st martin's lane Pizza Express at all Costs! I could go on for pages and pages to to detail how awful the service was; the manager and duty manager were rude and argued with me, the waiting staff were unprofessional and lazy. We received no apologies throughout the evening. It was one dreadful mistake after another. Abridged version of events: We arrived at 8pm. We received the correct menus at about 8.20. We ordered at about 8.45. We did not receive intros, but starters first. This was amended. We received mains at 10.00pm. We got dessert ok, but then they had the audacity to give us a bill with the service charge already included, then argued about taking the service charge off! Just don't go to that Pizza Express, there are much better restaurants a short walk away.

We always come to Pizza Express on staff dos. It’s a lot easier than trying somewhere new, as with a lot of people you always get someone who doesn’t like the food. At Pizza Express you can get pasta, pizza, and salad, and you can ask for different combinations of toppings if you don’t like something. I just feel sorry for the waitresses who have to write it all down!
