An evening visit to Pomegranates always seems to be followed by a slow morning, the result of an excellent wine list which the splendid Patrick is always keen to guide one through - my latest visit involved lime pickled salmon for a starter washed down with aqua vitae and some excellent beef for the main.



This restaurant is consistently excellent and always charming.

I first went to Pomegranates in 1976, and I am pleased to say that little has changed. The decor is cosy and warm and the food quite exceptional and very original. I have had some of my very best dinners at Pomegranates Restaurant.

Pomegranates Restaurant is like stepping back in time. The menu, wine list and owner have clearly been stuck in a time warp and it is all the better for it.



For a truly eccentric evening out I can not recommend Pomegranates Restaurant highly enough. The Food and wines were good quality but overpriced. But then again who can put a price on living history.

Pomegranates is awful. The food was disgusting. And when we complained the staff looked like they didn’t care.
Pomegranates is one to be avoided.
