Great venue and brilliant acts but hugely overpriced. Despite pre ordering and first cocktails included we had to wait 45 minutes for starters (3 small scallops...cold) and 30 minutes for our first drinks. No drinks menu was provided and no one came to take our drinks order all night. Our main was served at 10.30pm, 2 hours after we had arrived. The main was again luke warm but given that there were 11 of us with the same problem and barely a waitress free to speak to what was the point in complaining?!
A bottle of wine took 30 minutes to arrive, they had ran out of various choices and our after dinner cocktails were forgotten. We were told they were extremely busy, which was clear. But then why staff a large venue with 6 waitresses who were working their socks off and unjustly in the firing line.
The straw that broke the camel's back was the £150 service charge. After much justification this was removed....they still got over £1000 from us. For the amount of money this venue must generate they should really consider more staff and some customer service training.
Its such a shame the quality of the acts were discredited by the poor food, the lack of service and the rudeness when their 'system' is challenged. It appears this may be a common occurance!
I was there for our Xmas party and I wil come back for sure , the show is very well balanced sexy and fun at the same time , can get a bit overcrowd but the staff is excellent .
I have been invited to my friend Celina's Birthday and dind't know what to expect , what a pleasant surprise !!
Very warm welcome , great service from dancing and singing staff, spot on food and classy show .
Initially we where allocated a table in the back but when the manager noticed that another table didn't show up immediately offered us to move to the front.
I personally really appreciated this attention and this is why I am writing this comment.

I booked Proud Cabaret in the City for my fiancee and I as an anniversary present and we were both blown away. What a great evening! Neither of us had been to the cabaret before and didn't really know what to expect (visions of buxom beauties, Dita Von Teese glamour and big ostrich feathers) so as a variety show it delivered way more than I hoped for. Next day in the office, I literally become a Proud evangelist to colleagues/clients here and abroad.
Coco Dubois was sensational, sultry and incredibly funny. Oliver is possibly one of the best dancers we've ever seen and I personally have the raging hots for Marianne in her green basque!! I wonder if she noticed the tall, dark and handsome guy at stage-side-right with the black shirt, black braces and open white bowtie?!
We'll be back again.
Really fun night out with the girls. Show stopping stage show - very good and hot!! Food so-so but not really the main reason to be there. We all dressed up GLAM and felt good which girls need from time to time and this is THE venue to do it in - all feathers/mirrors/plush and purple. You go way way underground and feel like you went back in time.Like the 1920's - and staff all dressed up and having fun too - loving the self confessed ' Dot Cotton of the North' - half dressed in drag with killer heels and corset. We paid full price and had a great seat thank goodness as there were alot of Groupon customers in - Grrrrrrr. Get a life guys??!!Just go and dress up and forget about life upstairs for a full on glam night out.
Had a blast last weekend! Will definitely do it again. Waitstaff were gorgeous and lively. The show was fabulous though the song choices were a little odd. Food was yummy and the wines were top notch. The lighting and atmosphere made it a very cosy night. And that super-sexy blonde sommelier of theirs was so attentive and impressive, she catered to our every whim. Top-up please! ;)
The entertainment and food were fairly good but the drinks service was slow and poor - I had to ask three different waitresses and wait half an hour before I got a bottle of champagne. A lot of my party could not see the stage properly as there was a large pillar in the way and the venue was very hot. An interesting night out but it could have been so much better.
I booked for an evening here on a GroupOn voucher before reading reviews so I was very trepidatious about going along. I shouldn't have been. The venue is gorgeous as they say, the show was a whole lot of fun, the food was lovely (I can see why people say small portions but it is so delicious and rich that the sizes were perfect for me and my friends), but the service is what makes this place stand out. My waitress Chloe was gorgeous and so attentive, the sommelier came to check our wine choices, the hosts make you feel welcome as soon as you are there and I couldn't help feeling like everyone here absolutely loves their job.
I would definitely recommend!
Went to Proud Cabaret a couple of weeks ago was the worst night out I have had in years!! Although a Groupon deal, we felt we should not have been treated any differently to those who did pay full price. In fact I actually felt sorry for those who did pay full price! We arrived early and were a little concerned about the location of our table which was facing a pillar which was completely obstructing our view of the stage. This meant we didn't actually see 6 out of the 12 acts. And the worst was when we asked about changing our table we were told that we wouldn't miss out any of the acts as they move around the whole restaurant, a big FAT LIE!! The service was horrendous, we had to ask for our menus, we had to ask to order, we had to ask for our main meal 3 times, other people were served their main dishes before us despite us arriving before them, we had to ask to have our dishes to be removed when we finished with each course!!! When the bill arrived since we had a groupon deal we had to pay the gratuity, which we didn't feel was deserved of our money; however they had missed off the drinks we had ordered. We decided to do the decent honest thing and inform them of this, pay for our drinks only and leave. But since everyone is given their bills at the same time, this meant there was no-one available to address this issue. Eventually we were called over to the manager, who thanked us for informing her of their error, however when we proceed to pay her we were asked us to wait again for our waitress to become 'free' for us to pay our bill. We sensed this was going to take a while and so I approached the manager about this, who then accused me of inconveniencing them, since she 'didn't know of any restaurant which asks for their customers to pay at the till' (I can name but a few Mc Donalds perhaps!). Quite rightly at this point I lost my patience, threw the bill on the counter and walked out without paying them a single penny more. So conclusion is Proud Cabaret has
Thoroughly enjoyed myself on Saturday Night. My boyfriend and I secured a lovely table fairly close to stage to see Decades. A new show that takes you through each decades from the 20's to now through Dance, Burlesque, and Cabaret. The compere was amazing. She had such a good voice and tied the show together really well. My boyfriend even got dragged up to dance at the finale (something he is usually too embarrassed to do) and I joined in shortly after. Food was lovely and staff were great. We had a lovely girl called Moira?!? She was attentive all evening. The venue was gorgeous. Such attention to detail. My only complaint, which is really niggley, was the underwear from the girls on stage could have been more glam like the rest of the show, venue and staff! Will be back for Christmas.
Excellent restaurant, large and magnificent dining area, the food was alright but served quickly and hot by a very agreeable and competent wait staff. The show was excellent and the dancers were lovely, very dynamic and professional. We had a very lovely evening.
We were 6, ages 50 - 24 and we were all well pleased. A must!
As host of a fairly large party, the pressure fell upon me to provide a good time. Let's just say it was a struggle. Show was spectacular. Raunch with a touch of class. Better than expected. Atmosphere was cool and lively. Food was okay but the portions were quite small and most definitely did not justify the price. Wine list was outstanding. As a wine connoisseur, I was left speechless looking at such a strong wine selection that rivals most high-end fine dining establishments. Service was poor. Server seemed like it was her first day waiting tables. Once our order was taken, we were pretty much on our own. It was an uphill battle just to refill our water glasses. You would think that larger parties would take priority. It wasn't even a busy night. No excuse. As we looked around, this was happening at other large tables as well. My clients were not pleased. That being said, the sommelier more than made up for the unpleasantness. Aside from her impressive wine knowledge and charm, she cared, she listened, and made us feel genuinely appreciated. If it wasn't for her, a refund would've been requested without a doubt.
Proud Cabaret is the real deal. Cabaret, Comedy, Burlesque. Can it be costly? Sure, but you're paying for the entertainment, and it's a great place to go with a crowd. I don't live in London anymore, but whenever I visit, I drop by.
Please save your time, money and effort and steer well clear from this place.
Went there for a friends birthday, there was 25 of us and we couldn't have been more badly handled. Here are the main bad points of the evening.
1. We were seated on a long table along the back of the room, there was a large pillar completely blocking half the tables view of the acts...most of the acts stayed in one place on the stage so half of us found ourselves listening to some loud music and seeing the occasional arm or leg!
2. Service was unbelievably bad. They appointed one waiter for all of us...he looked like he couldn't be bothered and by the end of it I really couldn't be bothered with him! Not once were we asked for drinks...in order to get our ever absent waiters attention one of our party had to lean out and grab him as he floated past. He continually had tunnel vision either that or was plain ignoring us. When we finally grabbed him and ordered another bottle of wine, it didnt appear, when asked he said he had put it on the table! Erm..no you didnt! We then waited another half an hour for anything to turn up...I think we ended up consuming 3 bottles of wine all evening amoungst 10 of us and this was their loss as we could of drunk more!
3. Food was below standard and stone cold (you would think a party venue would be able to produce 25 meals all at the same time and semi-warm?)
4. A bread basket was bought to the table containing a piece of bread with a bite mark out of it and a half used butter dish!
5. I ordered a 'mussel' starter, being that 'mussels' were the main ingredient, I had 3 in total.
6. When our main course arrived we hadnt been asked or promted if we wanted to order any sides...when I questioned my vacant waiter if it would be possible to order some fries, he said and I quote 'probably not..no'
As the space is limited here just want to add that at 9.45 we asked for the manager, by the time we left 12.30am he hadn't bothered to come over
Friday night was one of my best night out in London since a looong time! The glamourous floor and the wicked staff made my night very special! I will return 100% ! Cheers!
Went for a Thursday tipple and ended up staying for the remainder of the show along with some work mates. The show and atmosphere sucked us in .. lovely ladies, servers dressed up beautifully, low lights and good music .. and genuinely entertaining overall. One lady does the most impressive trick that involves two shocked member of the audience.. i don't want to give it away but it is genius!
Food is expensive but when you take into account the show it makes sense. Nice wine selection as well.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary on the 1st of June at Proud Cabaret and even though we purchased our tickets via Groupon we can’t help feeling we’ve been ripped off.
Several things related to your service conspired to ruin our evening:
First of all, we made sure the show time was compatible with our travel arrangements i.e. train timetable by calling twice – before purchasing the tickets and right before booking the table. However with the show starting close to 45 minutes late, by the time we had to leave at 10.30pm we discovered there were six(!) more acts to go, which was a shame as the performance itself was good, but that just makes missing the second half of it more of a disappointment.
Secondly, the menu changed between buying the tickets and the date of the show, with only a very limited selection of dishes available, none of which would have been our first choice. Moreover, the food itself was small portioned, hardly warm and poor tasting attempt at fine dining. I ordered a Confit 70% of which turned out to be fat and my wife order a grilled stone bass with some sauce which when arrived proved to be unappetizing mess covered in green slush. We had to order extra chips which appeared to be the highlight of our dinner.
The final bill brought even more surprises containing not only a service charge but something called "Gratuities". We waited as long as we could to question the bill but the waitress remained absent up until we had to leave.
All in all, our special evening was ruined and the extra time and money we spent travelling to the venue was a wasted effort.
Had a lovely time last night at Proud Cabaret. My housemates and I went to celebrate payday.
As we are all in our mid-twenties and don't have that much disposable cash, we opted for Thursday, so that we could take advantage of the 50% off offer.
Our table wasn't the best, but definitely not the worst. I understand it must be tricky to seat everyone where they want, but I do feel for those out of the main atmosphere. I actually spoke to a lady regarding the seats, she was telling me that they are about to change the restaurant and stage to try and eradicate this. Positive Steps.
Dinner was delicious. We spoke about the size of the portions seeming quite small, and how our fathers would probably look at them with a puzzled look, but after three course I was actually stuffed. We shared one side between three.
Show was great though. Really enjoyed the handy man, and I think everyone loved the blonde Marilyn at the end.
Really lovely night. fun, relaxing and recommended if you fancy something different in London.
I went to Proud Cabaret last week with 8 friends as part of my 23rd Birthday. After hearing mixed reviews, I had my fingers crossed that the night would go well and that my guests would too. On arrival we were led down some stairs to a smoky velveted room. Great atmosphere and looks very cosy. We were given a great booth table, right in front of the stage. On arrival the waitress couldn't wait for the chance to take our drinks order. On previous reviews it advised to order drinks at the bar as they charge extra service charge. One of the guests, didnt realise this and had already ordered in a round of cocktails for us = £75. Safe to say we ordered the rest of the drinks at the bar! The waitress was very friendly and had a banter with us. She also checked through our menu choices again. Whilst waiting for the food there was a man playing a piano for around an hour. The show started around 8.30pm. The food arrived pretty quickly. I knew it would be small portions but the food wasn't really that great. One piece of advice would be to not order the berry smoothie. the mint sorbet tasted like and looked like mint sauce straight from the jar!The host for the evening was a very lively gentleman, who weaved throughout the audience singing tongue in cheek songs. There was also a Marylin Monroe lookalike (Banbury Cross) who had faboulous outfits. A young lady (Elsie Diamond) who sang old war like songs and then strip to reveal her patriotic outfit. But the highlight of the evening for our group was Abi Collins. She done a fab comedy routine with a couple of lads from or group. Bubbly lady who would banter with all the guests. Had us in stitches. The night was finished off by a fantastic band called The Milkshakers who played Jonny Cash/Elvis tracks. If you love cheese music then stay for the DJ.
Food - 6/10
Atmosphere - 9/10
Acts - 8/10
Be aware of what drinks you're ordering. I have a feeling that they could take advantage if you don't keep track. Order drinks from t
Overall an OK night out but you can probably do better & for less money at other burlesque shows in London. Ordinarily would have been a three rating but management's approach to customer service really took the shine off the night
Acts - 3.5/5 (some brilliant, some so so)
Waitress staff - 3.5/5
Food - 3/5 (we went for the supper club option which was just fine although they forgot about our sides we'd ordered and only brought them out after we'd finished eating the main)
Venue - 2.5/5 (even though we were close to the stage the DJs table meant half our table couldn't see one half of the stage - seemingly very few tables did have a great view)
Value for money - 2/5 (set menu + bottle of house wine each + few sides for the main + tip came to just shy of £100 per head)
Customer service - 1.5/5 (unfortunately one of our party couldn't attend due to illness. I'd informed them as soon as we knew the day before and inquired if there was any way around the full charge being levied-as per the t&c's. Management's response was to ignore me, levy the full cost and to add insult added a tip on the no show charge)
I had a brilliant night at Proud Cabaret for my cousins birthday. The food was amazing, the cocktails were out of this world and the entertainment was brilliant. I cant wait to go back again. Its just so different from an average night out or just dinner.
I went to Proud Cabaret on 11/6/11 for my best friends hen night. although the venue and entertainment were great , they had messed up our table order and gave me an old menu when I booked it, so we all had to reorder different food on the night, after I made a fuss about getting everyone's order in time. the food was good although not hot when it was served, just warm. the service charge is very high so that can put a dampener on things. Unfortunately a few people I spoke to at the venue also had problems with their table. If they could organise themselves properly then it can be a good night but when you are spending over one thousand pounds in a club you expect more, no offer was made to compensate their mistake, which was a shame as they had the chance to redeem themselves but didn't.
I went to Proud Cabaret with a Groupon voucher.
The show started an hour after my booked arrival time 7pm. Among the acts was a woman singing "There'll Always Be An England" and taking her clothes off. Other acts included semi-naked gymnasts and a Marilyn Monroe look-alike.
The food was good. the entertainment was spoiled somewhat by the gratuitous use of foul language. When I got my bill, there was an amount shown for a "gratuity" in addition to the mandatory service charge. I queried this and had the "gratuity" removed.
Were it not for the language and the overcharging , it would have been quite a good evening.
It was our first time at Proud or 'Burlesque Virgins' as we were called. We were a party of 10 and we had the most fantastic time. We were greeted with enthusiasm by all the staff and made to feel really welcome and special. The venue had a great atmosphere and you got the vibe of the place straight away.
I felt that the food might be the letdown by was gladly proved wrong, every course was delicious. The only small complaint would be the size of the side orders, we would of liked to have a little more.
The entertainment was fantastic from the lady compere (whose voice was amazing), to all the acts that performed.
The whole evening was fun, frivolous, and very tongue in cheek. We had the best time and would most definitely recommend it and return for another great night, this time ordering the taxi for later so we could enjoy the dancing for longer. Well done Proud!
Having watched the film burlesque my friends and i really wanted to experience the real thing. After crawling internet sites i managed to find a deal for Proud Cabaret, i was smiling with the deal, during the evening and I'm still smiling now at the evening I've experienced.
From the moment we walked through the doors and down those stairs to the minute we left, the customer care and service was A class. We were greeted by stunning looking staff who looked as tho they enjoyed and thrived for their work. Their informal/casual approach whilst serving you at the booths as they crouched by the table or sat next to you making you feel like your known to them.
The mist in the room giving that feel of a smokey atmosphere as it would have been in those times with low lighting whilst listening to the piano being played, followed by a show that has the element of naughtiness without sleaze.
The food was simply divine having chosen things I've never eaten before I'm certainly going to return to try something else new and to indulge in those fabulous cocktails.
I would highly recommend Proud cabaret for a step aside from the norm on a night out with friends.
I had SUCH a great night at Proud Cabaret!
I booked a while ago, so it was a pleasant surprise when I got an email telling me that they've launched their summer Menu in time for my night out. the food was amazing- familiar enough that it wasn't unidentifyable, but tweaked in a really delicious way.
We had some cocktails and wine to loosen up, and really enjoyed the pace of the evening: our table was our for the night, so we spaced out our courses and got comfortable. Really comfortable!
A great classy show, which toed the line but never crossed it. My favorite was a sexy belly-dancer who performed through the tables.
The band after the show played some older rockabilly classics, and then we got our fill of guilty pleasure songs from the DJ. A fantastic end to a memorable night out with the girls. like nowhere we've been before!
Went to Proud for the second time last night taking friends as I had enjoyed it so much on a previous visit. The entertainment was wonderful and there is a great atmosphere and a friendly welcome.
The starters were tiny but tasty and thank goodness for them because unfortunately we were only served our main course as the last act took to the stage. Did they forget about our table? We asked the waitress many times when we would get something to eat and were told there was a new menu and they were having problems in the kitchen. When the food came, 2 dishes were cold and 1 was undercooked so, 4 out 7 plates were ok - not a great hit rate for £54 per head. The desserts then took another age to come and by then it was so late that they were not very appealing.
I had to ask to see the manager who then handled things well, taking 25% of the bill and offering us a cocktail but it was such a shame that all this affected our overall enjoyment. I had bought friends along telling them how wonderful Proud Cabaret was but last night the food let them down ... badly.
If the kitchen had of performed as well as all the other staff then I could not fault the evening. I would recommend it, just cross your fingers and hope for a decent meal.
With a friend visiting from Durham for the weekend I had not been the best host in the world and there was something of a vacant gap for Saturday evening. So it was rather fortunate that I was sifting through Twitter just before lunch and saw a well put together tweet from Proud Cabaret suggesting getting in touch asap to sort out a drink that evening. It seemed like highly appropriate timing as I had mentioned several times about going to other burlesque and cabaret places in London over the last year and having a great time.
So, a combination of good timing and a desire to see Proud Cabaret for the first time meant that we found ourselves in suits at the front door just in time to catch the start of the show.
Well, we made it down the stairs and descended into a teeming, buzzing, smoky and opulent scene from the 1920s or 30s. My friend was suitably impressed and I was filled with a sense that it was going to be a very good evening. The hostess then escorted us to the bar and we were served promptly by friendly, knowledgeable staff before making our way to one of the bar tables to enjoy our drinks and watch the show.
Every table was filled and the atmosphere was fantastic as one fantastic act after another came on stage.
The diners looked to be enjoying their food and the service seemed to be very efficient, yet with a touch of glamour and cheek.
When the show came to an end the live band got straight on stage and the diners quickly left their tables to dance, jump, jive n wail (to quote Louis Prima) until the wee small hours of the morning.
I'm looking forward to taking a group of people down for dinner and a show very soon and would recommend it as a great weekend venue if you want something just a little more decadent than the norm
I had already enjoyed the gigs and exhibitions at Proud Gallery in Camden so I knew when I arranged my sisters hen do Proud Cabaret was top of my list.
As soon as we walked down the steps I was transported. It was smokey, opulent and plush and it felt a little...illicit walking down those steps, almost as if we were being ushered into a prohibition era speakeasy.
The waitresses were welcoming and attentive, the entertainment was slick and so captivating I let my lovely food go cold!
So to sum up, I would definitely recommend Proud Cabaret for a great night night out with your other half or a group of your girlfriends.
AMAZING evening!!! I spent my hen do at Proud Cabaret. This was booked as a surprise for me and I wasn't disappointed. The waitresses wore corsets and suspenders and were welcoming and sexy without being slutty. The mild smoke machine, candelabras, velvet booths and curtains added to the Moulin Rouge feel to the place. We went on a Saturday, it was busy with a good mix of men and women. The acts started at 8.30pm and was also a real mix. Some poor (get rid of the bird with the glass balls) but also 3 amazing burlesque dancers. The hostess was a very talented Marilyn Munroe impersonator who cracked jokes and sung the old classics. The only down point was that it was difficult to attract the waitresses attention and we waited a long time inbetween drinks. I will be taking my new husband there where i have no doubt we will have a fun evening.
I visited pc last night and had a fantastic evening with my friends. The first impression of the staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and this flowed through from door staff, to table staff and the acts. The entertainment was fantastic, and the atmosphere was sultry and seductive. The food, for me was excellent, though a little overpriced on the wine list. I suffer serious food intolerance's, but, by using the preselection food ordering system, I was able to notify the kitchen staff, who brilliantly ensured my food was safe for me to eat, and even made a sweet for me that wasn't on the general menu. This kind of service is what makes me go back! And go back I will, Proud Cabaret. You should be Proud of yourselves!
Went here last night with my boyfriend on the Groupon deal and was pleasantly surprised. I thought that it would be mediocre at best due to the price we were paying with the deal but have to give credit as we had fantastic seats right at the front and the food, despite there not being a great deal of choice, was spot on.
The venue itslef is a delight and I loved the waitress' outfits. The hostess was great and had a lovely voice, great little diversion between the acts. And what acts they were! The comedy hula hoop was hilarious, an impressive acrobat but the stars of the show were the 3 burlesque dancers who were superb.
I will definitely be going back!
Recently went here for my friends birthday and had a great time! The atmosphere and layout made you feel you had gone back in time to a speak easy or 40s nightclub. We sat in a booth which was comfy and classy. Food was nice (had a 3 course meal) and a great selection of cocktails. All the staff were friendly and efficient and looked fab in their outfits! Sexy and stylish. We didn't dress up but definitely will next time we go. We went on a Wednesday night so wasn't too packed (about half full) and went with a Groupon voucher so got a great deal!!
The show was really great!! gorgeous performers and the host had a wonderful voice. Miss Banbury Cross was definitely the best! Beautiful. Saw burlesque, an acrobat and a comedian dancer/hula hoop girl. Although if you're a male be prepared for the singer to single you out (sing to you or get you to speak into the microphone) or for one of the stage performers to get you on stage! If you don't like that don't sit near the front ha
Would definitely recommend this place for a classy girls night out. Whether it's a few of you or a big group. Something different and fun!!
The food here wasn't great. I had mussels with "maple bacon" and the only bacon I found in the dark were to be tiny flea sized specks and there were way too many empty mussel shells in my portion. The main had a flavourful bean broth but with only two tiny pieces of lamb with thick layers of fat, that was dire. Dessert was excellent, albeit about 45 minutes after mains and only after we requested it, same goes for any drinks we ordered during the night. The waitresses are busy trying to cover their modesty in their corsets to notice and the bathrooms far too packed. The "show" itself happens in sessions and doesn't start till around 9pm on Saturday so you are waiting around awhile for something to happen. Betsy Rose was fabulous, one of the singers good, an aussie girl hula hooper and contortionist dire - she struggled with her hoops (not a patch on Le Clique hoopists) and writhing on the floor with martini glasses was a daft idea given 90% of the room cannot see. The formal hostesses however who guide you to your seats were fabulously classy though.
Crazily they also want £2 to hang your coats upstairs. You'd think if they wanted your money they'd make more of an effort to enable you to get your drinks.
I wanted to make a few comments on the NYE burlesque show we went to run by The Tassel Club - but all these reviews are really about the venue Proud (cabaret or Camden?) and the food and the rude staff...
I know what you all mean, the staff were busy so 'abrupt' when we went but The Tassel Club show is a different story.
There was a warmth to the show, a sincerity that we don't usually see in Burlesque shows (or at least it's not something myself nor my wife have seen since we have visited london)
The host was an Irish lady (that may also excuse us for falling in love with her accent! You know what us yanks are like for an Irish Lilt)
Either way, we though she did a great job considering there were lots of parties asking all sorts of requests from her when we stood at the bar waiting for our table.
I'm happy to read The Tassel Club are taking their particular style of show to other venues, I feel it may lend itself better to a more intimate place. We were not so crazy on Proud as a venue. Maybe we are getting a bit old for it! We prefer our burlesque more laid back and stylish and I have a feeling that The Tassel Club has still got its best to give. We will be on the look out for their new incarnation...

I love Proud it's one of my favourite venues, music is great I went on a Saturday to the night 'Ride' and all the staff were in horse gear it was hilarious!
I spent my birthday at Proud Caberet the other night and had blast! Loved the music and found the whole night to be a very unique experience. It was pretty busy, but that was expected and it added so much to the ambiance of the place.I found the staff very helpful and friendly. It was a great way to spend my birthday and will definately going back!
I was so disappointed with this place. It could be so good but it fails at every turn. Waiting to be checked in, finding the £10 entry fee was standing in a tiny bar area with very restricted views. and this got worse, the standing patrons kept arriving and we were being herded into the bar area that would only take 25 at a max. The acts were really short and had really long gaps in between. The staff were overworked and quite rude. They had been left with an impossible situation. Far too many standing people in a tiny space and a lot of people paying £60 to sit down who were unhappy at having their view blocked by the standing people. When I complained to the staff I got told I paid for what I got and when I told this to the manager her answer was that the number of people allowed met their fire capacity - even if that’s true it was far too many people for the area and the type of set up that they have. Don’t waste your money - find a better place to go and spend your money.
My friend and I visited last night and it was very busy. Although we had booked in advance, we had to queue up outside for 30 minutes whilst people were checked in. Once inside we had to queue to be shown to our table. The inside is very nice, cosy and romantic. We ordered our food and a cocktail. The starter and desert were amazing, however, the main course took over an hour to arrive after the starter. The entertainment was nothing special; it was over quite quickly.
It was a fun night out, something different, so I do recommend it - I think at the moment it is very busy and they are struggling to cope.
Proud Cabaret is such a nice place ! Went there with some friends for my Bday. And we just had an amazing evening !! A delicious meal and very classy burlesque show. The venue is really well decorated, in a very vintage style.
I really had a really good time there, and will be back very soon .. !
