Really can't see how this pub is rated this highly.
Bar staff seemed agitated, stressed and one
fella tonight seemed personally offended just by
opening my mouth an ordering a drink.
Food was ok, entertainment was good. If the place had a good scrub down and the staff were slightly welcoming could have been a good night. Don't go out if your way if you know what I mean.

A sparkling jewel in the rough that is Tulse Hill. Well worth travelling to visit, and the only place to go if you live locally. Despite the fact that there's *no* competition nearby the Railway combines friendly welcoming staff, an extensive selection of drinks, a diverse menu and massive beer garden.

If you live in West Norwood or Tulse Hill, your choices of where to drink are very limited.

It usually means a bus trip to Herne Hill or Brixton, which doesn't really help if you want a quick drink.

The Railway though is a little gem of a place that I like to call my local.There's a lovely big garden for all us smokers, a good choice of beers and ciders and during the week they do offers on there food.

Their Sunday lunch is a good size and all the family can come and eat and the kids can run about in the garden.

On the weekends there's dj's and if your looking for somewhere to hold a party you can hire the upstairs room.

The staff are really friendly, and everyone knows each other but not in that cliquey way that you feel excluded just like some bars in Brixton and Herne Hill.

So if you ever find yourself in the area pop in and have a drink and something to eat and maybe make it your local.

The Railway Kitchen and Bar has a nice atmosphere. The staff are pleasant and the general ambience seems chilled. I have never eaten there, but the beers at the Railway Kitchen and Bar are top knotch.

The Railway Kitchen and Bar is a comfy venue with nice food. I had a very nice meal there with a friend and we were impressed by the knowledgable staff and the quality of the food. I would definitely say that Railyway Kitchen and Bar is worth visting, if you can get all the way over to Tulse Hill.
