I have been going to Rebatos regularly for the last year. its one of the best local restaurants I have come across since moving to London over 20 years ago.

At the front there is an old style tapas bar but hidden at the back is a large fabulous restaurant. The food has always been amazing, especially the suckling pig.

The staff are friendly, approachable and their service outstanding. The atmosphere does vary depending on how busy it is, when packed and the place is buzzing it cannot be beaten.

Visited this restaurant for lunch on 19.9.07. Restaurant is situated on a busy main road in a grubby run-down part of south London The welcome we received was very chilly and as we were led to a table at the back of the restauarnt, I couldn't help but notice how tatty the restaurant was and it stank of damp. It also needs a good clean. Having said that it is pretty in a rustic way. Asking for the special lunchtime menu, one would think we had insulted the managers mother, such was the disgruntled response. They were clearly only intererested in flogging the a la carte options. Food was unremarkable and fairly bland. All three diners had different starters and different mains and nothing stood out in any way. Service was agreeable if robotic but the waiter had terrible BO which did nothing for our appetites. This place clearly caters to an unsophisticated local market and it shows. Won't be back.

I have been wining and dining at Rebato's since it opened over 20 years ago, and I can honestly say that the food, drink and ambience is the best you will get outside Spain.

I've been going to Rebatos for years and I've never been let down. The tapas in particular is fantastic, but the whole menu is impressive, with daily specials.

I love the ambience at Rebatos and I've never been anywhere with better service or nicer staff. Wonderful.
