The Red Herring is amazingly unpretentious considering it is a city pub. Very relaxed with good quality food, high quality Fuller's ales and friendly staff. Gets very busy but always has a good atmosphere. The Red Herring is the best pub in the area for me.

The Red Herring has been renovated and is now popular with the lady suits. It's a Fullers so the food is good and they're busy at lunch times. The Red Herring has three TV screens and a Barco showing sports. The staff are friendly but the drinks expensive.
