Lived in Ealing Broadway 1993-2000, and being within walking distance of the main shopping centre, enjoyed Wine & Moussaka Greek restaurant but they closed down around 1997, so was left bereft of a top Greek eating establishment... the Lantern near Acton was a bit cheesy, so looked further afield: friends suggested Retsina & Moussaka further down Uxbridge Road, and what a find! Wowsa... being a bloke with a large appetite, the souvlaki and kleftiko were the pivotal dishes as to make or break for a restaurant - the staff are passionate about their food and are a real tribute to their heritage regarding customer service (Cyprus)... after tasting both dishes I really wanted to buy a place closer to the restaurant rather than closer to public transport (for work etc)... I am in Spain now but relish any chance to get back the UK as an excuse to dine at Retsina & Moussaka again...

By far the best Greek restaurant I've found to date (and I've tried a lot!) - well sized portions at good prices, cooked beautifully and with super service. The people who run the restaurant always give a warm welcome and are more than happy to please however they can. It's also got five stars for health and safety if you check the 'scores on the doors' - must count for something!

Retsina and Mousaka is a splendid eatery with an emphasis on fast and friendly service. Gargantuan portions of freshly prepared dishes. One of my business associates regularly books a table at this family restaurant from his hometown of Zurich, during his London weekend sojourns.


Retsina and Mousaka is a superflous culinary experience, just like what Mamma used to make, or more to the point, still does!

My friends recommended Retsina and Moussaka restaurant and I'm glad to say it didn't disappoint! The food was delicious and excellent value for money.

Will definitely be back to Retsina and Moussaka.
