Great place for a qwick lunch, the saltbeef is by far the best in London... (I came her after reading an article in the evening standard of Londons top 10 sandwiches. The Reubens, 2 layers of beef, pickles sauerkraut and tomato is a must!!!!
Have had the misfortune of dining there for both dinner and lunch on several occasions. The place is a prime example of an establishment, cognisant of its virtual monopoly, ripping of co-religionists.
The service is bad, the menu mediocre the prices appalling and the attitude of owner/management arrogant and aggressive. If you can avoid Reuben's,do so. There may be few alternatives (although I believe another restaurant is opening soon in the West End),but bring sandwiches or go to Golder's Green, unless you are looking for a near-death experience which is available at this hell hole
Their new chicken shwarma in pitta and chicken shwarma in laffa are delicious and great value for money.
The service was slow, the food - when it eventually arrived - was good, but the bill was atrocious. Okay, we knew it was expensive when looking at the menu, but to be charged £3.50 per person as a 'cover charge' and then add 12.5% service charge on top meant that a single course a la carte meal and a bottle of water for three ended up at over £100. Kosher food here in the UK is not cheap, but this was ridiculous.
We ordered a take away lunch to be delivered to our offices for a client visiting on a business lunch. The quality of food was acceptable, but questionable as to whether a chicken sandwich and 2 sides is worth over £30!
We specifically requested that the food arrived before 12pm, for which we were paying for a black cab to have it delivered. After calling Reuben’s at 12pm we were told it had not left and would be on its way soon. The food arrived 30mins late by which time our client had to go without lunch whilst the rest of the guests ate, much to our embarrassment. After ringing to complain we were faced with a very unprofessional and rude member of staff who told us we should have cancelled the order when we called at 12pm! Total lack of customer service, manners, punctuality, or professionalism and highly over priced. Not recommended for business catering.
I love the food at Rueben’s as it is always cooked to perfection and has a taste that you only get from chefs’ that genuinely enjoy what they do.
The staff are absolutely delightful especially 'Ida' (I think that is her name) whom was very polite and extremely helpful.
I will definitely be there again.

WOW i eat out at kosher places all over the world but this is one of my favorites...the salt beef is amazing and they have the menu in the deli on a 60'' plasma it was very cool...
downstairs is deffently an experiance i will never forget i had the steak reubens... a sweet mustard and brandy sauce and very tender peice of meat...
the portions are huge and prices very reasonable... the only thing bad was they dont take credit cards in the deli but they take debit cards...
i ended up in the restaurant downstairs where they do take them....when im back in london il be back in reubens, thanks!
Extremely poor restaurant, rude female staff member who stated she was '1 of the owners', aggressive and abusive, she should not be allowed to interact with customers, overcharged by the til, greasy food, i would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
I enjoyed going to Rueben's. We stopped by on our first day in London and had some of the best food ever. It was so fresh and tasty, I wanted to go back but we didn't have the chance. Reuben's is a great place for good food.
We had a terrible experience at Reuben's. The food was mediocre, but more importantly, my family and I were treated extremely rudely. As kosher tourists from the US, a positive experience would have meant that we would have returned two or three more times during our week-long visit. As it was, we were so appalled by our treatment that we simply found good vegetarian restaurants downtown at which to eat instead. I will not return there.
