As a French Caribbean native I really enjoyed the food and the place. Warm welcome and lovely people. I can't wait to go back soon to move away the English rain and cold from my mind!

We visited on the 28th April 2012 we found small pieces of clear plastic in the rice and peas. The manager explained that it could be from the processed garlic that they buy in. He didn't seem bothered or concerned that people could be consuming small slivers of plastic. Rubbish attitude, no real care for public health or offer to put the situation right.

My gosh, and I thought that nothing in the form of a Nando's style restaurant would compete. This gets 5 stars for me. After a long day at work, decided to go to the shops at Westfields. Feeling very hungry by the end of this wanted to try out one of the new place in the food court. Rhythm Kitchen caught my eye straight away with the vibrant colours, it had that eat here appeal. Ordered myself Half a chicken, plantain, rice and pea's and coleslaw! I was not dissapointed. I am very particular when it comes to west indian food but this place made me remember how beautiful the food was.

Price was right, food was tight......5 stars for me and defo going again. Big up!!

After a long day of shopping and feeling rather peckish I decided to give Rhythm Kitchen a whirl. Lord God what a mistake.

I chose the ribs, chips and a side if coleslaw and I must say that I was extremely disappointed.

The coleslaw was extremely bland and the ribs did not taste any better. The chips were not so bad, probably because they came out of a packet.

To top it off they tried to charge me £1.95 for a can of Ting...shocking.

Not a patch on Caribbean Flavours at The Theatre Royal.

Will definitely not be returning there.

Shame you cannot select no stars. I guess the chips can have that.

I have to say that these people need to have their own restaurant,
west indian food is normally over priced and you alwys leave with the feeling I might as well have cooked it my self.

BUT with this place I want more. I have to say I was well impresssed and have told every one already. The sauce is to die for the service is second to none and well there aint no and really just toooooooo good. BIG up to the chef and staff.

Just saw my published review and I gave Rhythm Kitchen three stars in error, so posting another review to add five stars as that is what this eatery deserves.

Wow, we were amazed at how good this food was. I had the lamb curry, rice and peas and coleslaw and couldn't find a bad thing to say. Hubby had the jerk chicken, was left wanting more, but couldn't complain about the food one bit.

Best meal ever in a shopping centre. Will definitely go back. Just hope they don't let standards slip.

I had the great pleasure of attending the Rhythm Kitchen this afternoon. I usually go to the White City Westfields, but checked out Stratford for the first time. After we were all shopped out, we fancied a kfc - something quick! But my sister cleverly sniffed out the Rhythm Kitchen, you could smell the jerk chicken from a mile off! Mmmmmm. We were served by Topaz very polite and courteous, as were all the staff! We were given a buzzer that went off when our food was ready to collect. It was all piping hot! Just how I like it. We went for the Combo meals. One Jerk Chicken Meal & one Jerk Pork. These meals come with two sides, where we had Rice & Peas, Chips (with a divine seasoning on them) and two bowls of plaintain. It was lush! With a can of coke and a can of D&g Ginger Beer we got change from a £20 note! Im a frequent customer at Cottons Restaurant, and have that restaurant on a pedestal! The Rhythm Kitchen is going to force me to re-evaluate that! (still got mad love for ya Cottons lol). Excellent, the food was cooked to perfection, the dish sizes I thought were spot on, but may be heavy for lunch time, but I love my food! I would go back to Stratford just for the Rhythm Kitchen. Well done guys! Great place x

Ate at the Rhythm Kitchen yesterday, on its second day of opening. I was apprehensive at first, as I've eaten at a few Caribbean restaurants/take-aways in Stratford & the surrounding area and have been left disappointed one too many times.

However, as I went to take a look at the menu I caught a glimpse of the grill - covered in Jerk ribs & chicken, it looked well seasoned and smelt amazing. So, I thought I'd give it a go at least.

The portion size was surprisingly big as I'd ordered the quarter jerk chicken meal for £6.90 and wasn't expecting much (again from past experience). The rice & peas and coleslaw came in separate bowls along with a side of jerk hot sauce, I was impressed by what I found on my tray.

The chicken was cooked to perfection and not dried out through overcooking. The flavour was superb, and had a real authentic jerk taste (after many friends and family BBQs, I know what authentic is) and where at times the rice can be a dry accompaniment, the side of jerk sauce was heaven sent! I got to choose between mild, hot & extra hot - I chose hot & it was just that! Not for the weak tongued, but plenty of flavour so it didn't kill my taste buds or what was on my plate!

Anyway, this is the first time I've felt the need to write a review - but felt like this needed to be shared. I do hope they maintain this standard & portion size as a few Caribbean places I've been to tend to get lazy or comfortable and lower their standards over time.

But Rhythm Kitchen continues to provide food & service as I received it yesterday - I would highly recommend it to any lover of Soulful Caribbean food.

I plan to return in a few months to see if the standard has been maintained & will be sure to update if necessary!
