Dined here this evening and a deeply unpleasant experience this was. I was,in a party of 16, booked many weeks ago, with swift service requested due to the length of many guests trip home. Most left either unfed or unhappy (or both) Seated at 8 starters arrived at gone 9 with deeply unappealing 'deep fried mozzarella' steeped in oil with brown tinged avocado. The main of leek (and fennel?) risotto was huge , tasteless & an insult to Italian cookery. Tiramisu was ordered from a stroppy waiter and never delivered. I have never left a restaurant so hungry , angry and appauled. The waiting staff did not give a flying ****. As Morissey would say ' come, come nuclear bomb'. A number of the party had to leave before the end, lucky devils. London continues to house some of the worst eateries in the UK. Avoid them and they will eventually disappear. Take my advice, avoid this place like you would a rabid racoon.

I think this place has definitely upped its game since the older reviews were posted and I would recommend it. I organised my birthday party here 2 weeks ago for 15 people. The staff were very accommodating, especially with me changing the number of people and the booking time. We ordered from their set menu, which I would recommend as good value and had choices for all tastes, and they allowed the group to order from the A La Carte menu as well. The calamari was crisp and the lamb was tasty. We were seated in a separate area on the first floor and there was no restriction on the time we had the table for, which is a big plus as most other venues restrict this to 2 hours. All dishes arrived at the same time for all the party, except for one main, which was 5 minutes late. I’ve been to many group dinners where some people get their food ages apart so this was quite impressive. All in all, a good night, good value for Piccadilly/Mayfair and I would recommend this venue.

What a waste of time this place is! Three of us were looking for somewhere to eat in Picadilly, dangerous as there are so many tourist traps, sadly, this was another. We were seated quickly but not given menu's. Fair enough, easy mistake. They then took about 20 mins to take our order. A bit frustrating but not awful. When taking the order they were very careful, to ask how my sister wanted the duck done, she asked for medium.

An hour later once we had finished out drinks and had watched the people next to us, order, eat, pay and leave we were getting quite wound up at our lack of food.It eventually did turn up, two of us were served cold pasta dishes and the duck was so over done the fork almost broke!

All of this after an hour! It was not even busy. They offered to cook for us again but we were so hungary we could not phsically wait another hour and so left. Not only were they rude to us they then expected us to pay a service charge on the bottle of water and glass of wine they had bothered themselves to get for us!!!

If it had not been for the other person with us we would not have even paid for the drinks because they took so long to bring us the bill just for them!I left there hungery and angery with the argonace of such a joke of a place. I would not have wasted the energy walking up the stairs to it had i know it was such a waste of time!

Ristorante Biagio and Bar has become my favourite restaurant in Mayfair. We found the restaurant by chance when walking down Piccadilly. We found the waiters to be delightful and charming a great precurser to the food, which is some of the best in London. The sadle of rabbit dish on the main menu was tender and full of flavour.

We had the good fortune to meet Biagio the owner who was dining the night we were there - a very good sign. He is full of life and very passionate about his food. He made us feel very special and valued. Ristorante Biagio is a real treat. We will be back.

Ristorante Biagio and Bar has rude waiters. We waited an hour for our starters then half the table got theirs half an hour after the other people on the table. The waiters blatantly lied to us more than once. They blamed their short-comings on only having one chef on a Saturday night.

The food was very boring and a chocolate dessert tasted nothing like chocolate, rather, more like it had been bought from a shop. The waiters even confused chicken for salmon - it seemed most of them didn't have a clue.

This was the most diappointing meal ever. It was for a friend's birthday and we were all totally shocked by how bad it was, particularly given the high prices. I would not recommend Ristorante Biagio and Bar at all.

Ristorante Biagio & Bar is really something special! When I came out of Waterstones, I thought I was walking towards Piccadilly Circus but was going the other way... that's where I discovered this place! And the prices aren't bad either!

I have since been back to Ristorante Biagio & Bar many times, sometimes just for coffee (yummy selection) and eaten the delightful food in the restaurant upstairs and I'm organising my birthday party there as they have a wonderful group area and the decor of the whole building is beautiful! I am highly recommending this place. Go along, you won't regret it!
