In London there are at least 4.000 so-called Italian places - in reality not even 10% of these know what italian food really is. I have eaten in most 'good' places but can sincerely say that only a few - Locanda Locatelli, La Genova, Olivo and Sirena, all in town and Riva in Barnes - have remained true to the principles of regional foods as served in Italy.
Each of them has the most important ingredient: Italian staff, passionate and knowledgeable about food, wine and service. At lunchtime, Sirena provides a wonderful selection of pasta; a small but excellent choice of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes and a very nice selection of wines that everyone can afford. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a good lunch and spent next to nothing, so decided to give it a go in the evening when the full menu is available.
We started with unbelievably good olives and a selection of breads, then had spaghetti with seafood followed by a very nice plainly grilled veal escalope, vegetables and potatoes. Could not miss their Tiramisu' to finish. All was fresh, cooked to order (you have to wait a little bit but that is a confirmation of food prepared with care) and, with a bottle of excellent house wine, the bill came to under £ 40. Service is smooth and comes with a smile - an added bonus as it is free! I will recommend Sirena to all my friends.Valentina
On a bitterly cold 29 December 2008 six of us ventured to Selfridges' sales and then ended up lunching at nearby Ristorante Sirena. Its staff must be the cheeriest in London: nothing was too much trouble for them, considering that it was a Monday, the weather was foul, it was after 2pm and our party included two stroppy young children. Very nice and tempting menu with many favourite italian dishes properly cooked and presented. Also, there is an interesting, all-italian well-priced wine list. Overall good experience, excellent value for money and well-worth visiting when in town. We shall recommended it to all our friends.

I have been to Ristorante Sirena almost every year since 1995 and the food, atmosphere, and service has always been great. When I'm in London and seeking tasty reasonably priced Italian food, I always end up at Sirena.
Beatutiful Italian food served in a traditional way - I was surprised and delighted to find that they've been there successfully for so long. Real classic Italian food is difficult to beat, and the Ristorante Sirena have done brilliantly.
Sirena is a lovely restaurant with great food and a friendly staff.
If you like Italian food then Ristorante Sirena is a fun place to have some! The atmosphere is always buzzing and the staff welcoming and friendly.
The tiramusu at Ristorante Sirena has to be tried to be believed!
