WORST SERVICE, RUDE WAIT STAFF & MANAGER AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I work right near this cafe at St. Katherine's dock hence why i went to try it out for lunch, i shouldn't of bothered. The food is ok - not up to normal cafe standards with regard to variety - but it's cheap and thats why people go i guess.

My main concert with this cafe are the wait staff and the manager of the restaurant. They are very rude and forceful - which is very un-called for when you go somewhere to have lunch. I was told that i could not sit at a table in the window as it was for 4 people and i was dining alone.

i then explained to the waitor that i was taking a very important call over lunch thus needed to be seated away from too much noise and he insisted i move to another shared table.

When i refused to move the manager cam running over and started yelling at me to move away from this table to another shared table as he needed it. i looked around and there were approximately 6 other tables free to seat 4 people.

I at my lunch and paid for my bill then was yelled at agin by the manager for sitting at his table and he then said to me he would never serve me again. I am a PAYING customer, and when i pay for something i expect a certain level of service. I did not get receive this. i would NOT recommend this cafe to anyone - there are much nicer cafe's around the area to visit where the staff are friendly and the food is much better value. Thanks.

The Riverside Bistro in Ivory House is a great place to catch up with friends over a hearty meal. The food is traditional English stuff (pies etc) which sits well with me!

Tasty food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere - what more could you want?! I highly recommend the Riverside Bistro.
