I think this place is fine. It makes a nice change to go somewhere that isn't Starbucks or Costa and personally I like the coffee a lot so I guess it's a question of personal taste. I agree that the staff are at best indifferent, but the prices are fine, there are always papers to read and it has good internet connection, so I can forgive the apathetic service. (Plus I sat next to Danny Boyle in there once so if it's good enough for him...!)

If you like your coffee as weak as tea, ratty furniture, and staff who clearly don't care about you, go here. And don't dare ask for your coffee stronger - if you resist the 30p 'extra shot' add-on you'll be scorned at. But it does have fast internet, which explains all the laptops present whenever you visit.
