The menu is deceptively interesting - a huge range of pizzas and salads that deliver more than they promise. Our waitress was very helpful and gave us an indication of what to expect and recommendations etc. Another pleasant addition to our experience was the excellent selection of superb and very good value wines.
We ate at this restaurant back in November on a Saturday lunch time. I have eaten at the Mayfair Branch many times and have always enjoyed the food and ambiance. However, we will not be returning to the Canary Wharf branch. The pizzas were average although the fishcakes and desserts were good but the service was appalling. The waitress was unfriendly and extremely rude and although the restaurant was empty she was far from attentive. I would have complained at the time but the Manager was sat at the bar tasting cocktails and reading a newspaper!! There are many restaurants to choose from in Canary Wharf, don't let this be one of them.
We visitded in a group of 10 and to say the food was not great is an understatement. The lamb was the worst i had eaten and the service was dismal and rude. overall no one was happy with there food, although you do get a lot on your plate.
Give it a miss.....
I love Rocket, we went to this one for lunch a couple of weeks ago. Friendly service, and very tasty food. Probably the best lunch I've had in Canary Wharf. Looking forward to going back again soon.
As a local to the area, I have eaten here quite often and unfortunately every time I have been left disappointed. I have had to send food back numerous times and have found some staff rude and unfriendly. A specific bad meal of ours was however refunded, and there was no question of this, but unfortunately for the prices you pay the quality and standard is frankly just not good enough, or anywhere near on a par with the rest of Canary Wharf.
Two of us had a nice lunch on the opening weekend and we were met by friendly staff who offered a choice or bar or restaurant seating. We chose a table upstairs in the restaurant area by the windows with the padded chairs as opposed to the hard backed chairs at the inner tables. Top marks for ambiance and decor. The choice of food on offer is just right, there's something for everyone from a vegetarian pasta dishes to the just fantastic rare beef and chips salad, if you are a hungry carnivore who fancies something slightly different then this is the dish to go far. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert but will definitely be back to sample the puddings on offer.
