I had a pizza at this restaurant last Saturday and I wanted to leave them a comment because their pizza was incredible. Really excellent, moist and tasty with fresh ingredients and the right balance between dough (delicious) and toppings. The buffalo mozzarella on my pizza was really top notch.
I found out the restaurant by chance because it was the only one open late at night in the area and I was impressed, I will be back.
I have visited Rossopomodoro on September 19th before theatre and despite being very busy, the service was quick and attentive.
I tried the pizza margarita with buffalo mozzarella while my girlfriend had the calzoni (filled pizza), both were delicious and the total bill came at just below 30 pounds in total including drinks.
Rssopmodoro has the best pizza I have ever had in London, the place is crowded and buzzy, at time hectic but very enjoyable
We will be back.
NO STARS!
We were there on the afternoon of Friday 29th August 2008.
The place was empty which should have gave a clue. The waiters were having a carry one, throwing wet cloths, one of which sprayed my Son which they did not seem to care.
It took 3, yes 3, waiters to get our order as they could not speak English despite the menu being in English!
The food was a wait, it was tiny portions and mine had a horrible brown hair in it!
When I pointed this out to the waitress (as I am blond) there was no reaction. I did not received another dish, an apology or money off.
I was disgusted with the whole experience and as it was the only place we chose to eat in our day out to London, was upsetting.
DO NOT EAT HERE AT ANY COST. Go find a busy little cafe or pub instead, you will fare so much better!
Rossopomodoro has the greatest pizza in town. I have become addicted to it and now am a regular at least once a week.
All ingredients are authentic and the pizza dough is the best I ever tasted outside Italy, the best has to be the margherita with buffalo mozarelle that tastes just delicious!

Please don't make the mistake of booking this restaurant or of walking in through the door. Our night was truly terrible and ruined beyond belief. The waiters were not attentive and offered us excuse upon excuse and the manager was something else. He argued and told us it was our fault we waited nearly 2 hours for starters!!
I had gone in and booked a table for 8:30pm for my friends hen night, I booked 16 places and exactly 16 turned up -no surprises there then for the restaurant. When I first complained about the food after only part of our group had received their starters, I was told that we had all ordered a starter each and that you are not meant to?? (we were not told this when we ordered, or told that it would be a problem!!).
I wish I could say that this was the worst of it, however it got significantly worse and the manager then resorted to lying to us as a means of trying to shut us up. At no point did we recieve an apology for the horrendous service or an explanation as to why. As the night went on, our table was more and more avoided by the staff when all we wanted was something to eat!!
When after a lot of shouting and complaining by a number of us, our meals turned up, I wish they hadn't in actual fact as they were disgusting. Probably the worst meal out of 16 was a salad that was put down in front of the person next to me, which quite frankly looked revolting (and smelt revolting). A plate of iceburg lettuce, 1 tomato, some green beans (why?), and then the waiter opened a jar of tuna in front of us and tipped it out over the top!! Telling us it was fresh? How?
The pizzas and the pastas ranged from bland to salty and the muchrooms on the pizza were the slimy sort out of a tin (again, truly disgusting). We eventually bartered the manager down in price by threatening to get up and walk out and not pay for anything. Not everyone had had a meal and we left there 3 hours later, hungry and angry. Never again.
I want to give this place no stars but the computer won't let me!
16 of us went last night as part of my friend's hen night. We had booked and the restaurant knew that there were 16 of us.
Some of the starters arrived after about 40 minutes, the rest of us had to wait nearly a hour and a half before we had any food.
Several of us spoke to the manager and waiters and were told it was because there were 16 of us and we had ordered difficult starters! The main courses arrived after half past ten (we had arrived at half pat eight) I had ordered what I thought was going to be a tuna salad. What was put in front of me looked like a school dinner (in fact worse) and didn't have any tuna on in. The waiter arrived with a glass jar and dumped the tuna on top of the salad saying to me 'Don't worry madame it's fresh.' I couldn't bring myself to touch it.
The staff and management didn't seem bothered in the slightest by the fact that we had had to wait so long for food or the fact that we were all so unhappy. The poor bride to be was devastated. The night was ruined. Never again.
I went to rossopomodoro with a group of friends and collegues.
I must say the experience was terrific!
A great welcome and service, the waiters were great and the food was excellent.
You can feel the italian vibe while enjoying your meal. The golden oven, the bright uniforms and all the italian chatting around all adds up to make the true experience.
I work around the area and will defenately come back.
Authentic pizza and food with a fun vibe is just what we needed!
I had dinner with my girlfriend last Friday and did enjoy it a lot.
Pizza is simply excellent with a nice soft border, cooked in the big wood oven where a few pizzaiolo worked with great expertise.
The buffalo mozzarella and olive oil were simply delicious.
My gf had home made gnocchi, also excellent. Service was very friendly even though chaotic at times.
Atmosphere was really buzzy and fun, all in all we did enjoy it, we will be back.
