I've been regularly eating at Saf for the last three years. It is without a doubt the best restaurant for veggies and vegans in the UK that's not Michelin stared.

A wonderful team, pure philosophy, innovative and healthy food! A veggie utopia!

Even though I personally didn't enjoy the food - it made me feel sick -
I understand the concept of the restaurant and knew what I was letting myself in for (including the price) when I booked the table...
Raw, vegan food is obviously not everyone's cup of tea, and I went for entertainment and curiosity more than anything else.
The food was beautifully presented, and although the portions were tiny, that is what I expected from a nouveau-cuisine style set up.

The highlight of my meal was being given a slice of cucumber in my water.... I nearly weed myself laughing.

An interesting experience, but not one I will be repeating.

Gourmet vegan dining that comes with a two-hour wait for the main course at 6.30pm on a Mon eve in a near–empty restaurant. Good job they serve raw food: if it had needed cooking, we’d have still been there for breakfast!

Over-priced, small portions & poor service - wrong dishes delivered, feeble excuses for delays & a disappearing manager who (eventually) gave £15 discount - ie £3 per head & less than our round of drinks - for a ruined birthday night out.

We've been visiting vegan & vegetarian restaurants in London & Brighton for over twenty years & this was a huge disappointment after all the hype.

Saf – you were naff & we won’t be back!

This is my favourite London restaurant by far.

As a foodie and a veggie I struggle to find places to eat where I'm blown away by the food, where I could never have made the food myself. But Saf is one of those places. Eating there is like a learning experience, and I leave feeling more nourished than when I went in- a real refreshing change!

The service has always been great, they can get a bit busy at times but when things calm down the staff always have the time to chat, recommend and answer any questions.

The drinks are also great and any time that I have the money or it's a special occasion it is to Saf that I go. Try the chocolate ganache tart... it's a sugar, dairy and wheat-free must!

Pretentious and extremely poor value for money.

Don’t get me wrong, the restaurant is beautiful, I was really impressed with the décor and with the service, but the food was a disappointment. The portions were too small which did not represent value for money. The Pad Thai was a cold salad, just what you want on a horrid Saturday evening. The dessert daily special cake was so miniscule I needed a magnifying glass to find it on the enormous plate.

On the plus side, they have an extremely interesting variety of beers and organic cocktails which were great, but the food was extremely poor.

Sorry, I won’t be returning.

Went to Saf for Valentines Day and was amazed at how delicious everything was without a stich of dairy or meat on the menu. I've recently turned vegan and am happy to have found a place I can go out to eat worry free without compromising on quality ambience or presentation. It's my new favorite local!

Although we found the Saturday lunchtime menu slightly different from that shown on their website, and we were given incorrect serving times when we phoned to book, we (group of three) thoroughly enjoyed our experience at SAF in October.Situated in Shoreditch, SAF is a short walk from Old Street tube station, and was easy to find. The food was all freshly prepared, beautifully presented and tasted delicious.

We were also told exactly what each dish contained, and could even watch the food being prepared, as the preparation area was right in front of our table. The décor was very pleasant and appealing and the ambiance relaxed; perfect for a leisurely meal. In view of the preparation involved, there was a longer than normal wait for each course.

As we were going on to hear David Wolfe speak in another part of London, we only had 1 hour 20 minutes to spend here. However, with help from the waiting staff, who were all very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable about the food, we had enough time for a three-course meal and Teeccino (really tasty caffeine-free herbal coffee).Prices were a little high (approximately £30 each), but the food was fresh, wholesome, delicious and filling, and of course we were in London.

The toilets were also unique. Situated down a flight of stairs, they were made up of unisex cubicles. Each one was of a reasonable size, with its own sink and mirror, and was very clean. The quality of the toilets is very important, and one that sadly seems to be overlooked in so many food establishments. All in all, a unique and interesting place to eat.

I recommend it to anyone who appreciates good, healthy food. One of the friends in our party was not a raw foodist, vegetarian or vegan, and enjoyed the tofu wrap with house crisps. We can’t wait to go back to London for another visit!

Saf is truly a fantastic and amazing edition to the Shoreditch scene. I've dined there with my boyfriend several times and always was blown away by the delcious flavours not to mention gorgeous presentation and sparkling service. But the best thing about Saf is probably what it is not the most known for--the COCKTAILS!

I've never in all my life had cocktails as amazingly inventive and delicious as those from the Saf Bar. All their pouring spirits are organic--even the vodka, rum and gin--and they flavour the spirits themselves. There's a heavenly drink I had recently called the 'Julian' which is stunning with a blueberry gin, cucumber, and lime they're tough to turn away.

Also some great classics that I've never heard of--we tried one called the Dandy Cocktail with rye whiskey, special vermouths and citrus that was amazing. The bartenders are friendly, funny and very attentive-not to mention eye candy :)I definitely declare Saf London's best bar and definitely one of the best restaurants.
