Tried this place last night after fancying something a little different.
The food itself was good and tasty, however the service and attitude of the staff left something to be desired. At the end of the meal they brought the bill and had automatically added a 15%!! tip onto it. Tips are optional and should be a reflection of the service, not something that should be automatically assumed they will get. After paying the bill, including a smaller but reasonable tip, they proceeded to tell me I hadn't paid enough! Quite a rude attitude and one that will stop me returning.
Was not expecting too much from this restaurant but it surprised me.
Food though not outstanding is tasty and well presented. The service and ambience are what really make Satay House stand out.
You see Malaysians eating here so must be a good sign!
I recently went to the Satay House as it was recommended to me by a friend and I had such a great night!!
The food was full of authentic Malaysian flavour, the service was friendly and prompt & it was definitely good value for money.
I will definitely be going back!
Really delicious, authentic Malaysian cuisine. The atmosphere is relexed and the staff friendly. The food and the ambience make eating here a real pleasure.

Such good food here, can't complain! Tasted very good and didn't feel as though you are eating a take away which isn't proper food. The staff were very nice and helpful too and we had a great evening here

I've been to Satay House a few times and think it's the best Malaysian restaurant for miles. The food is delicious and authentic, which is very important to me having spent time in Malaysia myself.
Satay House is cheap and a fun place to eat. The satay sauce lives up to the name!
