I can't judge as to what The Savoy Grill is in comparison to what it used to be but I thought the food really good...I have been a few times now! Try the Omlette Arnold Bennett and the Braised beef shoulder...delicious! I really want to go on a Wednesday lunch time to try the Beef Wellington, shame they only offer this then as I work Monday to Friday!!

OMG had lunch today with my media girl
friends and we were blown away. Such a beautiful dining room and the bubbly staff and informal but professional service made us feel like royalty. I had the Waldorf Salad which I haven't had for years and it was absolutely perfect and beautifully seasoned. The Scallops for my main were so juicy and delicious. I eat out a lot in my job and seriously these were the best scallops that I have had in a while. Flambed Baked Alaska was the perfect finish. Lots of pink fizz in the original Babycham glasses equalled 6 very happy PR girls. Absolutely memorable and since booked a VIP client lunch for next Tuesday. Hopefully our waiter William will be on duty and looking after us! Informal and theatrical and just spot on for our PR reunion. Thanks team Savoy Grill.

went last night after previewing menu on the website. firstly they had no oysters and then had no partridge. asking the waiter his response was that they are seasonal items and menus are printed months in advance. Pathetic excuse. after spending the money we did they must have enough money to change the menu. service was good but the experience spoilt by lack of food choice.

I spent over £450 on our valentines day treat for my wife and I(savoy Grill, Savoy Theatre, savoy parking) The Show was Great, the parking fee was sky high and our 14.30 lunch/dinner at Gordon Ramsey's Savoy Grill Was Shocking. We arrived at the Grill, We was greeted by a gentlemen and seated by a very kind lady, we was then greeted by our waitress who served us water which was all ok, we was then presented with menus and a wine list etc. When it came to ordering we ordered the Terrine & Soup and Chateaubriand for us both to share also with 3 sides(hand cut chips, veg, mash). Our starters came which were lovely, very well presented, soup nice and hot, all good apart from a big thumb print on my terrine plate.(ill come back to that)then came our so called "chateaubriand", this was merely a filletbriand! No such thing. Shocking. 4 pieces of 3/4 inch cut in kitchen fillet steak. Not the Chateaubriand I thought I had ordered, it was just slapped on the plate, a bit of watercress and some so called shallot sauce. The veg was luke warm the mash was cold and the chips were from brake bros.(not the hand cut chips advertised) Before I explain my background, I would like to say the service was spot on, the head waiter replaced our average sides straight away. Chef Gordoni trained at butlers wharf chef school under Mike Kitts, I have worked in the industry for 14 years, I was trained and taught the basics (practical Cookery) like us all. When one orders such an historic dish Being Chateaubriand, why an earth is it served in such a disrespectful manner, in my years of cooking Chateaubriand gets its name from the Chateau, Historically its known to hold more flavour. Instead I got fillet steak. Which if I wanted fillet steak I could have ordered it because its on your menu. Chateaubriand historically is served at the table, sliced in front of you etc, being that its Savoy grill i'd of thought the chefs would have got this right. Maze Grill any day of the

Spent New Years Eve with family at Savoy and was very excited to be having dinner at Savoy Grill. Food very disappointment, with three out of four dishes below average. Tough and presented poorly, my dish had to be swapped with my husbands after letting the staff know that it was not very good. Was expecting them to offer to change my main course, instead my husband had to put up with a very poor chicken dish that i could not cut through. Bill came to over £900 and i only wish that i had gone elsewhere or given the money to charity.
Really upsetting so i followed it up the following day and was fobed off by Manager. Just don't bother going as attitude is bordering on being rude. Must just rely on international clients and not repeat local customers.

We were very impressed with the new Savoy Grill. Definitely one of Gordon Ramsays best restaurants in terms of food and service. Recommend the experience to anyone.

The best Chef was there in 2005.. since then the food was okay. I'd love to hope that Chef would be brought back before my next stay!

I give my 2005 Chef five stars and those following three.

My husband and I had the set weekend menu at The Savoy Grill, 3 small but very tasty courses (with enough room left for Cocktails afterwards in The American Bar). The table for two was so spacious and elegant, and the service impeccable. The Savoy, per se, is so classically stylish. We will definitely be going back.

Had a fantastic meal at the Marcus Wareing Savoy Grill last week. Everything was cooked to perfection and I can safely say I'll be heading back there soon. Thank you Savoy Grill!

I went to the Savoy Grill on Sunday 4 July 2004. The weekend menu, ostensibly good value at £30 a head for 3 courses, was let down by indifferent and hurried service whereby you hardly had the time to finish one course before the next was unceremoniously placed on your table.

In addition, the desserts we had off the sweets trolley were very average indeed. While the food the starters and main courses were fairly good quality, the overall experience was far below what can be expected (and indeed obtained elsewhere) from a Michelin-starred restaurant.
