we visited this restaurant last week , we had great expectations as there are not many pure vegetarian restaurants in south west London , but to our disappointment the food was (well) well below average. There are quiet a few options on the menu but as i said above food is a real disappointment. Avoid it if possible there are much better Indian restaurants in Norbury then this one

My wife and I have been visiting the Shahee Bhelpoori for over 20 years and the food is consitantly great. I am no vgetarian but now and again to go without meat does you good and there is no finer vegitarian restarant in london, the flavours are awesome and the cost is remarkably little. It is right next to Norbury Station so well worth a train trip.

I have been coming here since I moved to South London in 1986. The food is excellent, the staff helpful and unobtrusive. The main chef trained at Diwanas many years ago, but the food is 300% better than anything you will get in Drummond Street. You cannot get better parathas anywhere else in London.

I used to come with my partner on Friday nights, the only vegetarian restaurant considered as good as or better than home. The decor has recently been updated, with a few extra dishes available. The sensitivity of the staff, the consistent good cooking, even the label of the house wines has remained constant throughout the years.

I took my girlfriend here last night. She's a vegetarian, I'm not, but we both really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was relaxed, the decor's simple but pleasant, the service was good, the waiters were really polite and attentive but not obtrusive, and, most importantly, the food was very good. There's plenty to choose from but I ended up having pakora to start, the Thali for main (there are a few on the menu but mine was just called "Thali"), a side dish of vegetable kofta and ice cream for dessert. It was all very reasonably priced, too, especially for London - it cost £30 for both of us, including a few drinks (just soft drinks, mind).

I enjoyed it all, the food was varied and full of flavour, but if I had to find fault and offer a suggestion, I'd say the dollop of tomato sauce on the plate for my starter was rather unattractive, especially as I don't like it - it'd be better putting it in a pot or something.

Overall, very good. I'd certainly recommend it and look forward to going again.

I would recommend the restaurant to anyone who likes to eat indian food with a variety.

It has a very good atmosphere. It is very rare to have such a pure vegetarian restaurant sevring alcohol at the same time.

Was not very pleased with the desert I had though. Will try something else next time.

Although I moved away from South London, I still visit Norbury just so that I can eat at Shahee Bhelpoori Vegetarian Restaurant. A very good restaurant at a very keen price.

Shahee Bhelpoori Vegetarian Restaurant is an excellent vegetarian Indian restaurant. They serve fantastic dosas and a varied menu. I have been to Shahee Bhelpoori Vegetarian Restaurant with confirmed meat eaters who have thoroughly enjoyed their meal too.

Very moderate prices, clean and polite service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Shahee Bhelpoori Vegetarian Restaurant has a really extensive menu that's a breath of fresh air for veggies and vegans alike. It's also a really child-friendly place with a specially selected mild set-menu.

I recommend Shahee Bhelpoori Vegetarian Restaurant to anyone wanting some tasty food.
