A very good place for stimulating your taste buds with authentic japanese food! Friendly staff and a great atmosphere!

Having cut my teeth at authentic Japanese places in Los Angeles like Furaibo, Echigo, Hide and Gyu-Kaku, I was nervous when I first moved to London about trying Japanese food here.



I tried a Toro Sushi but will probably avoid sushi in England only because the prices are at least double what they are in the States. Having said that, I have tried a few different lunch dishes such as Soba and Katsu Curry - both decent. I suppose if I start craving certain Japanese dishes, I will go to Soho Japan (especially since I work not even 100m away), but I will keep looking.

Having spent some years in Japan I was dubious as to whether Soho Japan would be able to replicate the food I enjoyed over there. However, Soho Japan made me smile with nostalgia - very good indeed.
