my girfriend and i went to solo last night and had such a great night, the food was stunning and the service excellent. we had smoked chicken and the biggest juciest scallops ive ever seen for starters followed by an amazing rib eye on the bone and a spicy south american seafood curry washed down with the house champagne which was really crisp and elegant.really great place and the bill was only £55

Me and my friends had a birthday party in Solo last Friday and had an amazing time. The staff are very friendly, food was great, and we even recieved a free bottle of champagne on the house! After dinner we moved downstairs to Under Solo and I must say the way they have redecorated the place gave it a huge lift!

Overall we were made to feel good and left the place thinking that the we know for sure where our next party is going to be!

I went down to Solo and Under Solo recently under the promise it had been revamped, but the Hunchback of Notre Dame looks like he's had a better facelift.

I was hoping to get stuck into the food, but the portions were not exactly hunger busting, and the staff either seemed disenchanted or really pushy to get your order. I'd go somewhere with a better ambience than Solo and Under Solo.

I hadn't been to Bar Solo for a while and I went back recently to find it’s had some TLC. The downstairs club is now a really cool cocktail lounge, which I think they are calling Under Solo, where they had live music and the food is fantastic (the waiter told me their new chef used be John Prescot's chef!).

The staff at Bar Solo remain as friendly as ever and it’s a fun place to hang out until the early hours especially as now you can relax in better surroundings with some fab drinks and food.

We met our friends at Bar Solo for brunch on Saturday and had a fabulous meal. The smoothies are to die for, and their Eggs Florentine is divine!

Perhaps not as much choice as would be ideal, but the food at Bar Solo is good and the location is great (very close to the tube and bus stops). I'd definitely recommend it!

Has an atmosphere similar to a speed dating meeting in a monastery. I sent my lamb back as it was stone cold and our white wine was warm. Couldn't wait to leave that place. Had a better time eating fish and chips in the pouring rain with the tramps who live next door in a massive homeless hostel.

My girlfriend took me to bar Solo last week. We had an oyster platter and veg croquettes followed by seabass and lamb shank and it was all simply wonderful. The service was prompt and attentive and the atmosphere was just right. Perfect place for a nice relaxed evening (and it's so conveniently close to the tube). I can't recommend it highly enough.
