I've been going to Sonny's for as long as I can remember. Its a great place to either have a quick bite (in the cafe at the front) or a hearty and filling meal in the main restaurant (beyond the bar).

There is always a 5 or 6 choices for starters and mains- and these always include fish, poultry, red meat and vegetarian. Although last time I went for Sunday lunch (always full so be sure to book) almost 50% of the menu was unavailable...needless to say, this is extremely annoying if everything you fancy suddenly disappears from the menu and you have to compromise.

Atmosphere is usually very pleasant and as a family you are made to feel welcome. Weekend lunch can sometimes be ruined though by screaming toddlers and children literally running around the restaurant, whilst parents sit back and do nothing.

The Evening is different however. A very relaxing place to go and unwind, either intimately or in a group. Although saying this, very occasionally the toddlers of lunchtime are replaced by Z list talentless popstar oafs, trying to get WAG style women drunk, talking and laughing so loudly you might as well have be sitting with them, talking about big brother and whether they might ever win 'torso of the week' in HEAT.

Really well cooked and tasty food. Good and friendly service also. Although trying to pay the bill is usually impossible, so have your card ready to put down once you've asked for the tab...you might otherwise be trapped at your table for 30 mins.

V well priced, a very nice and reliable restaurant in a lovely area.

Blimey, this place is bigger than it looks. Sonnys is a fantastic venue for traditional British food although be careful not to eat too slowly as they get a bit unnerved by it!

Went to Sonny's a few weeks ago and were very impressed. The food was superb, the wine list impressive and the staff really polite and helpful.

To top it all off, Sonny's doesn't have the usual West End price tags! Highly recommended.
