Faces you'll see:
Set right in the heart of London, the South Kensington Farmers Market is great for those that want the taste of the country, but don't want to travel there to get it. Surrounded by busy shops, this market is perfect for ad hoc purchases when you are in the area on a Saturday morning. Expect to see a good mix of customers from trendy fashionistas selecting their Atkins friendly vegetables to canny locals swapping their local supermarket for the wares on sale here.
Just round the corner from the tube stop, the market is also very easy to get to if you live outside the area. South Kensington is famously home to a large chunk of London's museums, including the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Natural History Museum. The Royal College of Art is also nearby, making it quite an academic and arty area. Excellent if you fancy spending the day perusing the exhibits or for those regularly shopping in central London, you should still get to the market early, otherwise you may find all the delicious produce gone to regulars.
