This review is for Strawberry moons "Malibu student night" (Wednesday's)

Firstly, it is definitely NOT a student night. Place was empty besides about maybe 10 random blokes that had obviously gone there after work and stayed plus our group of 7. Woman on the door (total jobs worth) wanted £7 per person entry even tho a) we had flyers entitling us to free entry (she claimed this stopped at 11pm even though that wasn't on the flyer) b) the promo guy who helped us find the place told us it was also free entry and c) the place was EMPTY.

Good points:
A few of the standard "student night" drink promos (£2.50 bottled beers, £3 dbl vodka monster etc)
Friendly staff (besides woman on the door)
Retro dancefloor was cool - just don't try taking a drink on there

Bad points:
Jobs worth on the door
Shit atmosphere
It was empty
Non-promo drinks are expensive (standard west end)

Overall, you'd be better off going to fat poppa daddy's at ONE Leicester square

I celebrated my birthday here with my friends.
At the beginning everything ok but then as soon as we went to the dance floor and was dancing with my friends, the bouncer came to me and said that I had to leave...when I asked why he just grabbed my arms and took me out. My friends followed me obviously and my birthday was ruined. I do not know why I was evicted and nobody even told me. Apparently my friend dropped a drink on a shelf while dancing. Fortunately I did not book an area for which they charge an unproportioned price for that the club really is.
I will never go back to that place, really disappointed and my birthday was totally a flop because we had too leave at 1:00!!
Points -100 for the club and staff.
The unfriendliest venue ever.

I have had organised my birthday party at your place on Saturday 24/09 in this place.

Lets start with negatives:
- I have had 15ppl on my guest-list. We started to gather at 7pm.
A few of my friends joined us at lather hours, around 9pm
After the party I had to find out that those who turned up later have been charged at the door regardless they did say they are on my guest list.

I was quite surprised and rather embarrassed, as I have been advised that we will have free entry since I have booked it in advance.

- The cocktails they provide are not nice at all. I am not sure the bar people have any idea about cocktails.

They basically poured different ingredients together into one glass, no styling and none of them tasted anything like real cocktails.

The place is a lot smaller than imagined and the dance floor overcrowded and tiny.

Positives:
- We had a good time, and was happy with overall service.
- My friends organized their birthday package surprise for me on the spot, which I found quite nice they were able to provide and delivered nicely!
- Also was glad to see that the staff was looking after the cleanness of the venue rather well and been very friendly!

Would return for a drink for their happy hours (5-8pm), but not the best place for birthday or special event.

I've always found the majority of the staff here to be quite welcoming, reasonable and friendly, at times it can get a tad coyote ugly which is cool. And why shouldn't they be? With more people checking reviews before they head to a new venue, it would be prudent to fix their shortcomings in what could make or break a venue, no? I would've given four stars if the music was just OK (commercial and 80s/90s), and on any given night you can expect to hear thriller at least three times, but given that its popular for stags and hens its reasonable to assume people want that nostalgia. Crowd is often friendly, work groups and students alike present a much warmer atmosphere compared to bigger name clubs where you find a lot of pretentious poseurs strawberry moons makes a refreshingly welcome change. Can get quite cluttered in there at times and the dancefloor is small. Overall if you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere where you can dance if you want to, strawberry moons delivers.

I went to this place with friends for a birthday which they had booked, so it was free for us to get in (which is always a great start).
The bar staff was rude and full of them selves, but the music was good the atmosphere was great, the drinks price was about the same as anywhere in the west end.

Over all a good night...!

Now this place is all about what you're after, If you want to have chilled drinks outside get hear early (plus the drinks are 2for 1 before 8pm )if you just want to go mad and party to songs you know all the words to then come here late or at the weekend. Yes its not cheap or "classy" but it doesn't pretend to be either. Its unpretentious, dirty, cheesy and good fun. The dancing Bar-staff are good too. When I'm in the west end with a group after 9/10pm this is one of my top3 go-to venues

Only thing is don't forget your ID they are super strict on the door and at the bar-my mate got ID'D 4 times in one night!! And don't piss off the security by taking your drink on the dance floor-they don't like that

Recommend for Hens/Stags and Birthday parties-or if you are a mixed age range group. just want to have a laugh or fancy a go on the pole!

Don'T come if you dont like Cheese, Busy clubs, West end prices after 8pm, Fancy Dress or queuing for entry if you get there late at the weekends!

After hearing that D12 were supposed to perform here last night (now that I think of this clearly, I see that this was a ridiculous notion from the start) I telephoned the bar, and they happily told me to arrive any time before 10pm, and I would be fine to get in and enjoy the music.

After getting there at around 8pm, and drinking for a while, they then actually made everybody LEAVE the bar, to queue up again outside! This was to apparently scan everybody's I.D. Why this could not have been done from the start, I will never ever know.

So that was their ploy to then charge money to get back in (to where the £29 drinks I had just bought had been"put aside" for me). It was only £10, but for a London nightclub, this was just a cheap way to wring some extra cash out of people.

The doorstaff were friendly enough, and the bar staff were average. Very expensive for a bar that does not offer any more than music where they will play a song for literally 15 seconds then play the next song.

To top off the glorious night, D12 of course were not there, but I suppose that's my fault for being stupid enough to believe anything on a "promoters" night. All in all, An expensive hangover.

Outside seating is great, if you can snag a seat. Inside seating is cheesy, felt like I walked into an upscale weatherspoons. Music is awful, but if you're sitting outside you don't have to worry about that. Staff are unpleasant, but they usually are at mediocre establishments, it wouldn't hurt for someone to train them, perhaps the same person who trains animals in a circus. Alcohol is okay, unless you order a cocktail - beware they water their drinks to such an extent that you'll wake up with a pair of gills. Did I waste my precious time going here? No, it was actually quite a pleasurable experience finally realizing where ugly people find jobs.

All I can say is CHEEESSSEE!! The music was awful, and the drinks were overpriced £5.20 for a small glasss of wine??...£38.00 to get in..I dont mind paying alot to get into clubs that are amazing, but this one was really crap! The music was the worst, I went on a saturday, its like the dj was just playing randoms and had no knew stuff to play.

Perhaps it would be okay if it was a not a Saturday night but....

I thought £10 to get in was overpriced, £2 per item on the cloakroom was disgusting. The music was really uninteresting; the dj might as well have stuck on a 'Now 80' c.d

The toilets were dirty. In fact I thought the whole bar was a bit grubby.

The atmosphere was the worst, it felt like it was really too far over capacity, everywhere you stood there were people pushing past, glasses smashing on the floor.

I paid £10 to get in but would have paid double to leave, definitely won't be coming back.

Being my friend's 33rd Birthday a group of us headed down to Strawberry moons at 11:55pm - 4 very pretty girls & 2 lovely boys. No one was younger than 24 & we were all respectably dressed. The club was half empty and playing house tunes, whereas we were more interested in Abba type cheese. The woman on the door was so rude & when we enquired about the music policy & a possible discount as it was half empty, she got right in my face pointing her finger at me yelling that it was her club, she didn't have to give a discount & called security to remove me.
Since I was literally standing there with my hands in my pockets being really chilled (God I wish I could post the CCTV footage!!) the security guy told me to just go into the club as he didn't want to kick me out (since it was half empty he obviously had a better business sense than the woman on the door)

My friend stayed at the door & asked the woman was okay - she said she was in a mood because she was the General Manager of the club & she had been "stuck" on the door...
Well, THAT explains everything! Her EGO was too huge for her to be polite & friendly to the customers paying her salary!

Little did she know that in our group we have 2 General Managers (1 that works for the Gordon Ramsay group - you could imagine what he'd do if he found one of his management team treating customers like that!!)
And I am the Marketing Director for a group of 14 bars - I have 14 General Managers underneath me... I don't want to blow my own horn but yesterday 1 of my flyer girls let me down, so I took the flyers round to the local businesses & to people in the streets myself. I was really friendly & not once did I throw a strop that I had to do a "menial" task.
To be treated like a criminal by someone faced with the same task (on the same day) because she has a bruised ego was more than a little insulting.

In this credit crunch there is a very high calibre of General Manager looking for work - she'd do well to reme

I went to Strawberry Moons last week for my birthday and rented out a booth for the evening. We got two free tasty platters and the staff were well nice.

Me and my mates had a great time, the DJ's played great music...everyone was up on their feet and dancing enjoying themselves.

I would definately recommend this place for a good night out in London. Strawberry Moons rocks!

I did not have high hopes for this club when I first arrived, as girls were being chucked out one by one for being ' drunk and disorderly'.

But it turned out to be a very funny night, many random people dancing to all sorts of music and the music was cheesy...90's style but good fun!

My friend whose birthday it was seemed to enjoy it, but its not a place I would return to soon.

There were plenty of fancy dress groups and hen parties and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Drinks are reasonably priced..overall Ok!

I celebrated my 22nd's B-day @ Strawberry Moons bar, that's was just awesome!! I had booked the area in the corner just beneath the DJ and next to the dancefloor, there aren't better locations, seriously.
To be honest, the Staff was really helpul and friendly, moreover the drinks were really tasty and pretty cheap!!
The music was really nice, brilliant sounds 80's, new, cheesy simply huge mix.The party has been a success so my friends and me have spent a lovely moment in there, dancing and having fun all night long. My advice: Just try it!!

Booked a birthday party for 15 with them last Saturday with a receipt clearly stated how many people it was for. Arrived to see only 6 seats there. Wasn't going to make a big fuss out of this, so asked nicely to the staff whether there's any chance we could have a few more seats for my guests to sit down.

Then I got this so-called manager stormed over me saying if I wasn't happy about the arrangement I should have cancelled it, blar blar. Seriously, been out in London for years and seen some bad attitude and services, but this is beyond the joke!!!

It wasn't at all about the seats, it was about some people who's serious lack of any basic manner and care for the customers and should never be allowed to work in the so-called service industry!!!

I booked my wife's 30th here. We booked for 15 covers which appeared on the receipt. When we arrived there was seating for 6 people. Not wishing to make a fuss, I didn't complain. After about 30 minutes a couple more of my mates turned up so I went to get a couple of chairs. A very aggressive lady came across telling me to put the chairs back. An argument then commenced where I pointed out that our receipt said 15 covers and she said that might be true but they always emailed to say that only 6 seats would be provided. After a couple of minutes I gave up with the woman and asked that she calm down and we'd handle the lack of seating. 10 minutes later, the woman returned with a guy claiming to be the manager. The guy said that I'd insulted his staff and that I should leave. I tried to reason with the fellow but he was adamant that I'd been rude and I'd have to leave. After we received a refund we went over the road and had a great time in the Italian restaurant opposite. Under no circumstances book a party there. I am truly shocked by the atitude of this venue.

I organised a surprise hen night on behalf of my best friend & found it extremely difficult finding a venue with an affordable private section to hire & a license for a stripper. Luckily on my search, my details was handed over to them and they kindly emailed me a list of things they were able to offer me and my group of friends. We contacted each other by email over the next few days, which they responded to promptly. I was very apprehensive about hiring out the area and our stripper through them as I read such bad reviews but I went ahead and chanced it. I rung them up to book the area and they sent me a confirmation email towards the end of the afternon. The lady who I spoke to on the phone admitted she was fairly new but gave my phone number over to her senior, who immediately phoned me the day after to run through what I'll be receiving on the day and to ask me which if the strippers I'd like to pick out- They sent me an email with pictures! They use a professional stripper from a company called Dream Boys. The organsier asked me various questions 1. What time would we like the 2 platters to be presented to us 2. What time would they like the stripper to come out. 3. She mentioned that the hen would recieve a free bottle of champagne and hen pack.

It was straight forward booking everything & they were really helpful although I felt they were quite vague about our seating arrangements. When my group got there (before 8) they were given a small table on the ground floor. But after a quick discussion with the manager they sent us to the V.I.P area below, without much hassle. The area was decorated by us. Due to it being a surprise I couldn't say much to the person at the door so I paid on behalf of the bride to be, but after the surprise I snuck upstairs and explained I was with the hen and the lady at the door refunded me back the £5. Great night to start off with, we could've stayed till the end but we left at 10 to go Studio Valbonne! Thank U Moons! :)

We organised a hen night here and after reading reviews I was really worried our night would turn in to a hott mess! But suprisingly everything ran smoothly. I booked our area in advance over the phone with one of the polite staff members, she took my details down and emailed me across the details of the night. I remember dealing with a newbie staff member but immediately spoke to some one senior the very next day. The booking process was straight forward and easy although they were very vague about where we'd be seated on our visit. When my party came in advance (before 8) I was told that they were seated at a small table area - which is not what I expected after paying the amount that I did, but after my friend had a brief discussion with the manager, we were given the V.I.P section downstairs. We received the 2 platters promised and the champayne for the bride to be. Our stripper came out at the time of the desired hour and danced for 2 songs. Being in the V.I.P section this allowed much more intimacy rather if we were situated upstairs. We did have a few of the staff looking on but we were in such an excited frenzy we didn't mind at all! Soon after we finished off the drinks, platters and had a breif chat with our stripper we proceeded to Studio Valbonne. Overall, I would say Strawberry Moons gave us a fabolous night!!! Thank You for a great memorable hen night evening!!!

I visited your club with 13 girls for my sisters hen party, and I have to say, the club have the rudest and most unhelpful staff I have ever come across! You didn't remember our party on the guestlist, nor did you provide the booth which we had booked! I asked to see the manager, a lady appeared, she was very rude and very unhelpful. We eventually found a table, ordered a round of drinks (expensive double G&ts) and the table was so unstable, every drink we had just ordered ended up on the floor. I asked to see the manager again, to ask them to replace the drinks, and they said they would, the bar person, then handed us one lemonade! Lemonade! I complained again, only to be told it was our fault the table was unstable! There was really no talking to the manager. The place is really very shabby. The drinks taste watered down and the music is beyond cheesy! The Monkeys I ask you! Awful awful awful! I and the party were thoroughly disapointed with everything about Strawberry Moons and will be advising everybody we know, not to waste their time or money visiting the place.

I went to Strawberry moons bar on Saturdau for a hen night and was absolutley disgusted with how we were treated and how rude the staff were. We went there in the day to decorate the aera we had booked and paid for, when we walked in the staff were very rude and unhelpful but we ignored it and put it down to the fact that they were busy openign up. When we booked the area and got guest list we were told thats guest list would enable us to que jump (it also states this on there website) but we was told we would need to get there before 8pm so we did and was told by the bouncer at the door to join the que, we tried to explain we have pre booked etc but he completely ignored what we were saying and kept repaeatign get in the que! so we went and spoke to the manager who was just at rude and by which time is was 8:03pm so was told we awould all have to pay! eventually we got in and 20 girls together we did start to enjoy ourselves we even ignored the fact that our area was below the stage so each time someone got up to dance on the podium we were smothered by screaming women! and that still the bar staff were just rude and un friendly! but when the night was comign to an end and our paid for reserved area was over taken but a bunch of girls that were not the with us the bouncers took no notice and ended up chhuckign us out!!! i was literally thrown out myarm pulled up behind my back! i would call that assult! so all in al this club is horrific! the staff are very rude and i would never ever go there again! oh one more thing they can not check ID in there cause there seemed to be a lot of under 18 year olds!

We came to this bar to review the place for an large event. The bar staff were very rude, the drinks tasted watered down, and we're completely different depending on who you ordered it from. The manager seemed even worse, she had no customer service skills at all and came across dis-interested in assisting us with any queries we had. I could never hold any event at this place, or even come here in a personal capacity. We ended up going across the road to the Living Room and having a great time. Would suggest that this place needs a complete change for it to improve at all.

Me and my 6 friends went to Strawberry Moons on a Saturday. It was PACKED! Not comfertable packed, but as in couldn't move packed. They clearly let way too many people in.
It was £2 to put my coat in, which was ok, but the que for coats was huge.
Can't comment on the bouncers or door people as I didn't come into contact with them. Ther was about 3 people in front of us when we got there at about 11pm, which was good, I hate queing! It was £10 to get in. The music was ok, but you couldn't dance or anything as it was so crouded in there.
It is also full of letchy guys. I was standing on my own for 5 minutes and so many guys kept grabbing me. There were a few weirdos in there, who don't understand the word boyfriend!
It would have been much betterif it hadn't been so crouded in there. Can't say I will be rushing back there.

Strawberry moons is the perfect location for a hen night, birthday celebration or just a night out with the girls to let off some steam and have a bit of a boogy on the (pretty small) dancefloor. Drinks aren't particularly expensive for the area, and a bargain during happy hour. If you're looking for a sleek, sophisticated venue then you might be better off avoiding Strawberry Moons, but for a fun night out full of glitter and disco then this is the place!

About 3 years ago was my last visit to this club. I used to come about once a month before then so thought after so long I'd check it out for old times sake. What a huge mistake.
This used to be the most fun, fresh and entertaining bar in London. What Happened?
The club, I heard, had been taken over from a family business to a Company called Urbiam. Everything started to make sense. In my opinion, Urbiam are solely responsible for destroying the originality of the West End. I believe they own around 50 bars & clubs.

Gone were the original cocktails served with premium alcohol and in were shoddy, disgusting, run-of-the-mill pap with the cheapest generic booze known to man! Gone are the fantastic DJs (DJ BoyWonder used to headline here at the weekends and people would come from all over to listen to his amazing sets and awesome mixes) and in are the PLAY, STOP, WAIT, PLAY DJ's (if you can call them that. A computer would be better). I can't believe how truly awful this place has become.

The staff used to look like they were really enjoying themselves, dancing on the bar and having fun. Whereas now they all look like someone has just told them that their Mum has died.

Avoid this bar! I came here for after work birthday drinks with a group of about ten people during the Happy Hour yet each time we ordered our drinks we were charged full price and had to complain. This happened a couple of times to each of us, charging one person £8 for a vodka and lemonade which should have been £2.30!

I certainly will not be visiting this bar again.

I have been to this club before where me and my friends had a really good time and the music was great. This was about a year ago when I had just turned 18 and this was the first club I'd ever been to.

I revisited the club on the 7th July and have never been so disappointed with a DJ's 'set'. Long pauses betweens tracks, no mixing of songs, poor variety and a tacky stage presence. I understand that the club specialises in hen nights but the whole night seemed to revolve around this which to me is a lack of entertainment organisation.

Since my first visit I have been to many clubs and this is by far my worst clubbing experience, and it didn't come cheap. To improve they should suggest a younger and more sophisticated DJ and a restructure of the evening's entertainment. If not then they should lower prices and not falsely advertise themselves as a classy club.

The first thing that struck me about Strawberry Moons (I hadn't even entered the venue) as to just how very rude the staff were. Having worked in the clubbing industry myself I have met all manners of door staff. These, however, excelled themselves for elevated opinions and just a badass attitude! The only member of staff who was obviously not listening at staff training was the barman, he was damn good at his job - top marks to him.

The decor really wasn't at all impressive - I think that was their intention. I have to disagree with what others said, I liked the people on the night and if it had not been for them then I would never have been able to deal with the cheesy tunes and extreme heat. Would I go again? No. Life is far too short to make silly mistakes like that again.

Strawberry Moons is a big, big disappointment. Don't let the ocassional good reviews fool you. I put myself and my group of friends on the guestlist for my 21st birthday, and arrived in a good mood. This was all changed when we were refused entry, even though we said we were on the guestlist, and when asked why we were just given a really dirty look and just not given a reason.

We asked to see the manager, and they told us the manager didn't want to see us. They were so rude and obnoxious it was unbelievable! It totally ruined the first part of my birthday, but luckily we went to another club, after being refused entry by two other clubs since it was guestlist only, and had a brilliant time anyway.

I definitely, definitely will not be going anywhere near this pretentious Strawberry Moons ever again.

We went to Strawberry Moons for the first night of my hen weekend. It was wicked, very hot and stuffy, but wicked! I got a hen pack when I got there and a bottle of champagne, plus, the man selling shots was very lovely! We pole danced and did all sorts! Strawberry Moons was fantastic.

Strawberry Moons was cheesy, fun and a good laugh. We had no problem with our booking and the free party pack they gave the hen was very fun with silly dares and handcuffs.
The balance of music was perfect as they played a bit of everything. The bar staff were very good especially when they knew it was my sisters hen night, getting her up on stage and making her do all sorts.

The only thing I found wrong with Strawberry Moons was the amount of people they cram in, and towards the end of the night it was extremly hot! It was definitley perfect for a good girly night out.

Strawberry Moons is a cute club with cheesy charm, yet absolutely horrible bouncers that unnecessarily questioned a girl in our party's ID. Also, Strawberry Moons has not enough spaces to sit down, and so my feet hurt towards the end of the night. It was cheerful and friendly overall.
