Street Smart is a unique fundraising restaurant event inviting Londoners to dine at a variety of venues for charity. Thoughout November and December 2010 500 eateries will be taking part in one of the biggest nationwide charity events of its kind. 2010 event
Street Smart is a nationwide charity initiative happening at over 500 restaurants across the country. Hundred of participating restaurants are in London, giving diners in the capital a unique opportunity to join in the campaign.

Helping the homeless
During the months of November and December a voluntary £1.00 per table is added to restaurant diners’ bills at participating Street Smart London restaurants. Every penny of this additional charge will be distributed directly to charity groups, hostels and other projects devoted to helping the homeless.

Show some support
Individuals who have pledged support to Street Smart London restaurants include a selection of famous faces in the culinary world, such as Gordon Ramsay, Fergus Henderson and Giorgio Locatelli. A number of prominent restaurant groups are also taking part in the fundraising event.

Twelve years of Street Smart
Now in its 12th year, Street Smart London has firmly established itself as a leading restaurant fundraising event, continuing to draw support from restaurateurs and diners across the capital.

A Street Smart Christmas
Londoners can visit Street Smart restaurants throughout the festive season and help support a pioneering charity drive in its 12th year. Since 1998 the initiative has raised well over £2 million for the homeless, a legacy which is set to continue into the future.
