Visited Suka with a group of friends not sure what to expect from what was describe as "Modern Malaysian". The food was very tasty not sure it was entirely authentic but that did not matter as we all enjoyed it. We ordered lots of different dishes and shared which was quite fun as you get to try more stuff that way. Service was polite and attentive some staff were actually a good laugh too, unusual in hotel restaurants. Wine list was comprehensive, good wines available for around £30 not too pricey.
It was a Friday so the restaurant was quite busy but the adjoining Long bar was rammed, what recession!! After some stunning deserts we moved to the bar for a few drinks which was really kicking with a good DJ and a trendy young crowd. We spotted some of the HollyOaks cast there. Cocktails were good too.
All in all a good night glad we took the plunge to try something new.

Nothing inherently wrong with Suka, but it is like a very posh and expensive version of Wagamamas. Portions are quite small so you have to order quite a few dishes which all adds up, needless to say! Nevertheless, staff are friendly and quick to address any concerns. We noticed that our beef dish was mainly fat and they were happy to prepare another one without question. I probably wouldn't go back, but it was a good experience. The Friday night atmosphere was buzzy and fun.

Suka has received mixed reviews but the place in my opinion is fantastic. Food is unique and inspired by a variety of cooking styles. I had a lime and chocolate flavored dessert that was a flourless cake. Who would of thought that this would have tasted good. It was amazing! Just go and stay for a drink on Suka's terrace!

My company put me up in the Sanderson so I thought I might as well try out Suka as I could put it on the company account. My God, what a good decision that was... I don't really know about food, especially food as good as this, but what I do know is that what Suka put in my belly tasted phenomonal.
