Not impressed with the service. It was ridiculously slow, considering we were the only big party there and it was mostly empty besides us. People within our part would order a drink and not get it for 20 minutes. The whole evening took almost 2 hours longer than i anticipated, which was incredibly frustrating, as people had to leave before they even got to eat their food.
Staff also seemed incredibly unfriendly and a bit rude at times.
however, the food was good. I would only recommend this place if you're going out with no more than 3 other friends. at least then you're not dependant on the service of the staff, as they mostly ignored any requests we made. they did not ask how we were doing, and I honestly did not feel they deserved the 10% service charge they added to the bill, as they didn't even make the effort to smile at us, and if we tried to get their attention, they did not respond.
DO NOT book this place for large parties or groups, they're very difficult, and they don't create a party atmosphere like I was expecting. They also arranged the tables badly, as half of the group was completely seperated from us, which was very unsociable.
For large groups, there are better places in wimbledon, which are more cooperative, and friendly.
However, for a couple of people, this has a nice menu, and food is good (when the staff actually remember to give it to you, that is)

We have been using this Mexican, tapas restaurant for many years for different occasions and we have always been impressed. The food is always nice and not expensive and the live music at the weekend make it very lively and Latino. Their lunch menu and their Thursday meal deal are very good value for money.

We visited Tapanco for the second time last Saturday. We had a wonderfull time with dancing staff who kept us entertained all evening. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Tapanco is very airy with a modern decor. Highly recommended for birthday parties at the weekend or a romantic meal during the week.

I highly recommend Tapanco. The menu is hugely varied and the food, service and atmosphere are up there with the best.

Tapanco's a lovely place to spend the evening and is not to be missed.
