London Restaurant Guide
Grab your forks and spoons and head down to East London for the Taste East food festival, a two day festival celebrating the best in East London food and culture. Part of the East London festival, Taste East brings the countryside to the city within the diversity of the East End of London.

East End culture
Head to the Taste East food festival for hundreds of specialist food and drinks stalls celebrating the best food that East London has to offer. Everything will be a hundred percent authentic and as diverse as the East London population as straw bales, spit roasts, storytelling and spinning create an authentic countryside feel.

History through food
East London has been home to dozens of different cultures throughout the years, and there’s no place where that’s more apparent than in the foods you can find in the area. From bagels to kebabs, whatever your taste is you’ll definitely find something to snack on at Taste East.

Eat with the locals
Many local restaurants and farms will be joining in on the Taste East food festival, including Wild Beef, Nutmeg Frog, Spitalfields City Farm, Canteen and Villanova. You can also sample beer provided by Quaffs Beer and unusual chocolate from ChocStar, the mobile chocolate van. It’s the perfect opportunity to sample the best in East London cuisine at one location.

Entertainment
If being able to taste and buy some of the best food in London isn’t enough to keep you busy, there’ll be a series of live food demonstrations from the Rivington chefs and Spice Namaste that’ll turn you into a master chef in no time. To keep the kids entertained, there’ll also be children’s food inspired food drawing from the Big Draw as well as performances by acts including the performance group Mimbre and storyteller and singer Rez Kabir.

Celebrate East London
Taste East is part of East, a six day celebration of East London culture and diversity. Besides the food festival, there’ll be more than 400 events going on across the area. From performances to history tours to art exhibitions to shopping, there’s loads of events to keep London occupied.
East London Festival
The Taste East food festival takes place from Friday 7th March from 12pm to 8pm and Saturday 8th March from 12pm to 5pm at Crispin Place. Admission is free.
