I went to Taste of India on a Saturday night with my boyfriend. There were only 4 other people in the restaurant, despite it being about 8.30pm. There was a general lack of atmosphere and despite there not being many customers the service seemed rushed, as though they were in a hurry.

The curry was good but I asked the waitress to recommend one and she seems totally confused by the question and just suggested their standard Jalfrezi.

The view card 241 offer was only for mains or starters, not sides or poppadoms, like other Brick Lane places offer so it worked out more expensive, although the dishes were smaller than other local places.

All in all, although the curry was good enough I've been so some much better places in this area and was a bit disappointed.

Great Curry (I had the King Prawn Bhuna), great beer (large bottles of Kingfisher) and great friendly service!

One of the best curry houses in London and better than any I've tried on Brick Lane, but without the queues or people trying to drag you inside! The only surprise was that it was so quiet. Ill go every time!

the food was amazing! Had the chicken Karahi and that was cooked to perfection and my taste buds were off the roof! Would recommend anyone of any age to try this Indian restaurant out. Fantastic work guys and hats off to the staff and the chef!
