Cafe 2 at the Tate Modern was a pleasant surprise after walking through the gallery. The lunch menu at Cafe 2 was quite good for a brasserie. Service was outstanding, a very friendly Spanish waiter made our day.

Cafe 2 is better than cafe 1. They have the same gorgeous cake, they also have art sized coffee that is worth taking a break from the Jackson Pollock's for.
Cafe 2 indeed.

Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time when visiting Cafe 2 at the Tate Modern - the staff seem more interested in chatting to each other rather than serving their customers.

The 'Afternoon' menu is good for a light snack, serving sandwiches, soup and wraps. Imaginative menu and very fresh. Food could not be faulted, but service is at best very slow.
