What a fab place, tea was excellent and the coffee & walnut cake was just amazing.
For serious tea drinkers this is a must - much better than the coffee shops abounding the city at the moment.
We found Tea by chance after a Sunday service at St. Paul's. What a treat. The interior is at once refreshingly modern and cozy.
My husband and I each enjoyed a lovely cup of tea, a grilled ham and cheese sandwich and we shared a piece of tasty orange cake.
A simple but satisfying meal that hit the spot. Service was efficient and friendly. Definitely a lovely, relaxing way to add some warmth to a chilly, grey January day.
A gastro-pub equivalent of a tea-shop, serving cocktails of that Great British institution, the cup of tea!
Perfect for those of us with chain-shop fatigue, whether you're looking for thick buttered toast in the morning, a hearty soup at lunch time or an escape from the beige walls of the office in a stunning setting. I love it!
This place sells itself as "aiming to use organic, free range, fair trade" etc ingredients and there is a big sign saying this direclty above its sandwiches.
However, the chicken they use doesn't appear to be free range or organic (or even Freedom Food certified)!
This is or comes very close to false advertising as far as I am concerned and puts me off the rest of the place; if they are not up front about their ingredients, it doesn't bode well.
Finally, a place that does proper tea the proper way!
Coming here is the highlight of my day: the staff are very friendly, the decor is tasteful and the choice of teas is exceptional.
I particularly like the Assam, although the Darjeeling is also good...
