Horrible over priced food, horrible service!
Waiter spilled a bottle of red wine all over my friend's jeans, only got an apology, no replacement bottle.
When we asked for the bottle to be taken off the bill (only asked for this as some of us are regulars, we deserved to ask for MUCH MORE off the bill).
Then the waiter threw a hissy fit just like a child, claiming that we had drunk most of the bottle anyway (obviously ignoring the trashed jeans), and so should pay full price for it. He then tried to guilt trip us by saying it would then come out of his wages. Incredibly unprofessional.
Very shocking behaviour especially since he recognised the regulars among us. No consideration for returning custom...
I would give this place a zero-star rating if I could!
I didn't even set foot in the door before knowing this is not a restaurant worth spending your time or money in. I called on the phone and asked to speak to a manager, I introduced myself and the company that I work for (i work in the restaurant industry). Before I knew it the manager was very rude telling me he wasn't interested, he made an immature comment on the company name before giving me a sarcastic 'byyeee' and hanging up. I was calling to enquire about organising a company function for 20-30 people. If this is the standard of customer service from the General Manager - I hate to think what the staff are like. I am absolutely disgusted by the rude manager.
Hi, Me and my boyfriend went for a dinner in the restaurant we order some starters like Zuppa del giorno (soup of the day) which was so delicious oh I forgot to tell you as we entered inside the restaurant it was packed with the customers because we book the table in advance so we just have to wait only may be 10 mins but during that we been offered a complimentary drinks by the time we finish our drinks the table was ready`we been given breads with sauces pane curasau (music Paper) than as I mentioned earlier on we had soup after we order fregola sarda which is Sardinian dish which was tasty.
I don't have words to explain to cut story short the hospitality of the mele brothers are outstanding the food is mouthwatering the selection and the knowledge of wines are very impressive and the price was very very reasonable in recession times. We are going to visit them again or may be we have a party there because they have a party room there and a Bar bq garden The restaurant definitely deserve a visits quiet often. Thanks Jessica Chapman n1 2ax
On Wednesday night I went to the restaurant along with my friends we was 4 in total. It was 8p. M and the restaurant was full, the waiting time was approx 35 minutes even during the waiting time we had been looked after very well. We were offered complimentary drinks [glass of Prosecco] while we where waiting.
After about 40 minutes we were offered a table which was right in the middle where we can watch some football and enjoy some life music by Brazilian band which was very nice. We ordered some Sardinia's food along with some pasta which was mouth watering taste is out of the world. The hospitality of mele brothers was outstanding the knowledge about the selection of wines are brilliant. I will highly recommend the restaurant and advised to reserved the table before you go then you don't have to wait. Thanks again for serving us. Mrs. G. Ford
I am Italian and was very pleased when I read such positive reviews by fellow Italians about Tenore. I therefore went with some expectations. Tenore Restaurant has been compared to Olivio but no comparison can be made.
A starter of mushrooms managed to combine a wide range of species with an impressive blandness. Blandness was going to be the theme of the evening. I ordered a pizza that arrived cold (and the place was nearly empty), the base was soggy and the tomato dressing straight out from a tin (it literally had no seasoning)tasted, well, like tin. Of all the pizzas I've had in my life, quite a few, I rate this amongst the worst ones. It does take quite a skill and a deliberate lack of respect towards the customers to make such a horrible mess out of a very simple dish. One that, like most Italian dishes, relies above all on fresh, quality ingredients.
I give Tenore one star because of the management's obvious lack of care about what is served. The wine was very nice, though the selection very limited. For what it delivers, Tenore is a very expensive and above all extremely disappointing restaurant.
good food, the best in area
simona ciao see you soon
I am Italian. My husband and I love trying new restaurants in London, but lately, in the past couple of years we were not enjoying it any more as every where seemed the same!
Same flavours same dishes same decor........until we tried Tenore.
The food is sublime. Delicious. Different. The menu is varied so you could choose from a delicious wood oven Pizza to some Italian dishes or Sardinian Specialities such as fregole ai frutti di mare, a traditional pasta with clams, king prawns and mussels.
You can pre order as we did on a second visit the traditional suckling pig which comes accompanied with roasted potatoes and green beans. or Sardinian Lobster.
The restaurant is cozy and elegantly decorated..the atmosphere magic. The private room can host private parties for up to 20 or more people....the outside area is fun!
I have been a few times already since it's opened and also took my family who were here for Easter and everyone was very impressed!!
wonderfully made it !!!food and vibe 200% even the toilet the in super condition...i will go back again to use the small room downstairs for my birthday...carry on like that guys
