Visited this cosy little place with my girlfriend on 24th May. Upon reading a few reviews, decided to bring her here on first date.
Upon arrival - this beautiful, rustic restaurant oozed romance - and after seemingly avoiding the dinnertime rush, we had the place to ourselves. With a very Mediterranean feel, the décor and background music fitted very well with the overall style of the restaurant.
We were greeted by a very warm, friendly and open waiter - who was keen to initiate a chat and seated us wherever we felt comfortable. Attentive, but not overbearing - he also helped add to this special night.
I opted for a starter of Tiger Prawns, followed by the duck dish for the main course. My girlfriend had a bruschetta starter followed by a finely cooked sirloin steak. Safe to say - the food was sublime. My prawns were on a bed of fresh diced tomato, and spicy, buttery sauce; while the duck breast was served on a bed of mash and a cointreau jus.
The bruschetta was served with a generous helping of tomato, olives and dressing - while the steak came with a large portion of creamy peppercorn sauce and mash (changed from frites by request).
By the end of the meal - all plates had been cleared and the two of us were extremely satisfied. I haven't had such a pleasant, or indeed such a tasty meal in a long time.
I will certainly be giving this place a second visit - which no doubt will be followed by a third and fourth! Pricing is very reasonable for such good food - and o top things off, we were given a voucher for a free bottle of house wine, should we decide to return.
On a budget, but want to taste true earthy dishes? look no further than this place. Bundled with its friendly service - I can't recommend this place enough.
Our family went to the restaurant last Saturday 11 of us , all the reviews are true.
Very friendly staff could not do more to help, lovely food ! wine and very cosy for large or small groups. Will be going back!!!
Went to Terra last week and had a really good meal. I went for an early dinner and indulged in their 2 courses for £9.99 which was amazing value for money.
The food was really flavourful and fresh, my only very small complaint would be that the waitress seemed to disappear for an age in between seating us and returning to take our order.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good food means I'll be returning.
We went to Terra restaurant with a group of 24 on saturday evening to celebrate my birthday and it was just perfect. Excellent value for money, good food, very flexible with the booking (we added 4 people last minute), very friendly service... We spent an absolutely lovely evening. The Christmas deal was excellent and everybody enjoyed food&wine. Even the house wine is good!!! I really recommend this place for a relaxed firendly night out.
A group of 14 of us visited this restaurant last friday and we had such a good night. Restaurant was very busy and despite that food was really nice, service was very efficient and friendly and the atmosphere was great. We had the set menu that was brilliant value. Would recommend to anyone.
Terra has a limited menu but everything is excellent. A very small, cozy venue where locals go to get home cooked meals and a good strong drink. Specializes in Mediterranian. A breath of fresh air from stuffy restaurants in central London and worth the excursion up the Northern line to Goodge street. The waitstaff is good at suggesting...take their advice. I have never been disappointed. Visa and MC accepted. I have eaten there at least 3 times and each time was delighted. Small enough that they remembered me the second time, but big enough to offer really good food at a really good price. A hidden gem of the neighborhood! Ciao!
